Las Vegas is a dramatic comedy television series about a team of people working in the fictional Montecito Resort and Casino in Las Vegas — dealing with issues that arise within the working environment, ranging from valet parking and restaurant management to casino security. The show uses the style of camera work popularized by CSI and usually has several parallel storylines running during the show, switching among them as the show progresses.
This fast-paced, sexy drama follows the elite Las Vegas surveillance team charged with maintaining the security of one of "Sin City's" largest resorts and casinos. James Caan stars as Big Ed Deline, the head of the surveillance team for the Montecito Resort & Casino. With his protégé, Danny McCoy an ex-U.S. Marine and Las Vegas native, they deal with card-counting cheaters, costly streaks of random luck and rival casinos stealing their big-money players. If the typical job-related pressures weren't enough, Big Ed recently found Danny in bed with his only daughter, Delinda. Rounding out this cast of high rollers is Danny McCoy's longtime, savvy friend -- and soon to be director of special events -- Mary Connell, the all-knowing valet Mike Cannon, sleek pit boss Nessa Holt a.k.a. "The Ice Queen" and elusive former competitor Samantha "Sam" Jane.

The best Casino Host in Las Vegas, lives in a Montecito suite. She is portrayed as a ruthless business person whose sole interest is to get high rollers to play at the Montecito.

| DeLinda Deline:
Ed's daughter and the manager of all the food and beverage outlets in the Montecito: Mystique club, Wolfgang restaurant, Opus bar, and the Bella Petto Pool Bar.

Former President of Operations and Head of Security of the Montecito Resort & Casino, and also a former member of the Board of Directors. Deline was, at one point, the main character of the series, portrayed as a loving husband and father, as well as a father figure to his employees, especially Danny.

Tom Selleck
| A.J. Cooper:
The new owner of the Montecito as of 2007. He is a ex-marine cattle farmer from Wyoming who stirs things up at the casino.
