The series is set across two timelines, 2008 and the present as it tells the story of DC Maggie Brand who investigates the disappearance of Callum Reid whilst attempting to deal with her own young son’s medical diagnosis with autism.

Maggie being convinced that Nina the former au-pair could hold the answers was interesting and her trip to Germany was informative but Daniel's reaction to the missing blanket made himself look suspicious and discovering he was with Theresa while his son was taken explained why he was acting suspicious

Maggie was right to not believe that they’ve found the killer but the conclusion was a surprise as Daniel had covered up Callum's death only because he thought his other son Luck was responsible and after all that it turned out to be a tragic accident
