The Suspicions of Mr Whicher Premiered on ITV on April 25, 2011

The Suspicions of Mr Whicher is based on Kate Summerscale's account of a Victorian murder case that shocked the whole country.

Detective Inspector Jack Whicher finds himself traveling to a remote country house where he investigates the murder of a young child. He soon manages to discover a web of lies and concealment amid the family living there, which he thinks vindicates the police's chief suspect in the murder case.

1x01 The Murder at Road Hill House

How on earth did the young child get taken from a big country house like that with so many people inside and without anybody hearing a thing but disposing of the body in an outside toilet was disgusting, Whicher being pressured to make an arrest quickly was bound to have consequences

1x02 The Murder in Angel Lane

Whicher now being a private investigator after the disaster in the last case makes sense and Susan turning to Jack after her daughter, Mary Drew was discovered savagely murdered was interesting as most of them were lying

2x01 Beyond the Pale

The Home Secretary asking Mr Whicher to find Asim after he threatened his son, Charlie was interesting and finding him dead did seem a little convenient for Charlie but with another younger brother still out there he could also be in danger, Charlie shooting him after he put the knife down was obviously trying to stop him from talking and I had a feeling he had taken the children from their mother

2x02 The Ties That Bind

I had a felling when Whicher was hired by Sir Henry Coverley who thought his wife was cheating on him would turn to a murder enquiry but being killed because he recognised a brother and sister living as a couple rather than the affair was an interesting twist
