Anna giving John the cold shoulder is understandable but is making it look suspicious and that was a close call for Tom with the maid saying she might be pregnant

Anna is really driving a wedge between her and John by not telling him about the attack but forcing Mrs Hughes to tell him was clever and Alfred going to London to better his career was interesting but shame about not getting in

What a shame the lad was blamed for the theft without evidence but the fact that the items had been found and she apologised was a surprise, Alfred getting a second chance was a nice surprise and Molesley having a hard time was his own fault as Carson had tried to help in the past

Blake and Mary getting dirty saving the pigs was amusing but Rose seeing the singer is bound to cause trouble and looks like John has figured out who attacked Anna

Rosamund's idea to try and help Edith deal with her problem by going abroad for a couple of months while she has the baby was interesting but Green dying while John was out of town was a strange coincidence

You just knew Tom showing the teacher around the house would give the wrong idea but of all the staff to catch them it had to be Thomas and the plan to get the letter back was elaborate but John getting in back after they failed was great

Carson being picked over Robert to run the local war memorial was a nice surprise and Robert describing Cora as a winning lottery ticket was nice but I didn't think it was around back then, Jimmy receiving some female attention was risky as it did become a little obvious but getting caught in bed after the fire was unfortunate and Sarah standing up to Robert at dinner was surprising

Lady Mary asking Anna to buy her contraceptive was surprising but Anna running out the chemists without the instructions was amusing and who would of thought getting a wireless to hear the kings speech would create such drama

So much for Mary's meeting with Lord Gillingham being a secret after being seen leaving the hotel together but the cover up was a nice surprise and Robert being angry after finding Cora out with another man when he paid her a surprise visit was predictable

Violet revealing the truth to Isobel about her past with Prince Kuragin was surprising but trying to find his lost wife was nice and Mary coming to a decision regarding Lord Gillingham was interesting it's just a shame she risked everything by sleeping with him

The police interviewing Lady Mary and Anna about Mr Greens death was predictable as they obviously suspect John and it's a good job Robert came back early with Simon pestering Cora but them coming to blows was amusing

Would that the modern police force investigated cases with such zeal as those investigating the death of Mr Green.  It seems odd to pursue it when there is no actual evidence showing anyone from the abbey would have a reason to do him harm, (even though we the viewer know there is)and  to stake out his London home so long after too.  It does seem to be heading towards them blaming Anna too.

John getting the wrong idea about the contraceptive he found in Anna's room was understandable as she was covering for Lady Mary but glad he told her about the unused train ticket and Lady Edith taking off with her daughter was a little predictable
