Big Love Episode Guide: Season 3



Episode 1: Block Party
Bill tries to attract partners for his casino business plan. Barb considers the possibility of a fourth wife, Ana. Meanwhile, the neighborhood arranges a big block party -- but the Henricksons are not invited.

Episode 2: Empire
The family continues to date Ana and tries to decide when and who should give birth to the next child. Meanwhile, Bill gets an answer about the casino, and Barb gets an answer from her doctor. Sarah has a bump in the road on her way to an out-of-state school, and Don is forced into monogamy.

Episode 3: Prom Queen
The family finds out Ana's been keeping secrets from them. Margene gets upsetting news about her estranged mother. Nicki, working at the DA's office, finds out the identity of the last witness against Roman. Barb's sister is back in town and her actions might put Bill's casino plans in jeopardy. Sarah changes her mind about the senior prom and takes Heather, Ben, and Franky with her -- upsetting Rhonda.

Episode 4: On Trial
Both Bill and Adaleen try to further their agenda with Rhonda. Lois is on the run and comes to Bill for help. Barb discovers that they are financially on a very shaky ground. Sarah is looking for people who can help with her problem. Bill makes a proposition to Alby. Ana meets two of her to-be mother-in-laws. Finally, Roman's case goes on trial with the verdict hinging on two sisters' testimony.

Episode 5: For Better or for Worse
Ana gives her answer to the family's proposal. Bill gets entangled with a collector who is trying to get a hold of an historical document Alby is selling. Roman invites his children to a meeting at the motel. The teens take the car and head for a road trip to the compound. Nicki quits her job at the DA's office.

Episode 6: Come, Ye Saints
The entire family heads east on a pilgrimage to Cumorah, New York, the location of an Joseph Smith shrine.

Episode 7: Fight or Flight
The Henricksons try to deal with the repercussions of the revelations made on the road trip. Alby's wife Laura makes arrangements to improve her status at the compound. Joey plans to marry Kathy but the idea doesn't sit well with all people. Nicki spends time with her boss. Margie receives help from neighbor Pam.

Episode 8: Rough Edges
With funeral preparations underway, Bill pressures the DA to charge Roman with murder. Meanwhile, Bill's casino plans are in jeopardy once again, now by some tribal feud. Wanda gets a visit from her brother. Margie starts her own business. Nicki comes clean to her boss.

Episode 9: Outer Darkness
Bill refuses to ask Nicki to come back home. Barb is in trouble with the church. Nicki runs into a man from the past. Ted tries to squeeze Bill for a share in the casino business but runs into trouble with the Greenes.

Episode 10: Sacrament
Disagreements between Bill and Nicki come to a head. Bill and Roman Grant must work together to retrieve Ted's kidnapped daughter. Margie gets an opportunity to pursue a TV career. Sarah plans a future with Scott. After hearing the news that Roman is free to return to the compound, Alby and his wife Laura take drastic measures to not give up their positions.

Big Love Episode Guide: Season 4



Episode 1: Free at Last
In the fourth season premiere, the Henricksons plan to open their Indian reservation casino. Elsewhere, the FBI launches an investigation to find Roman Grant and Nikki tries to keep her daughter away from J.J.

Episode 2: The Greater Good
Bill considers running for Utah State Senate, but Nicki, Margene and Barb all have different feelings about it. Meanwhile, Sara and Scott decide that they will get married, but not sealed under the church.

Episode 3: Strange Bedfellows
Bill heads to Washington, D.C. to obtain support for his run for Utah State Senate but ends up on opposing side of a lobbyist. Elsewhere, Alby deals with his father's legacy all the while becoming attached to Dale.

Episode 4: The Mighty and Strong
An audit of Home Plus brings a few surprises and threatens Bill's potential political career. JJ wants a policy change at Juniper Creek and Bill finds out something revealing about Margene and Ben.

Episode 5: Sins of the Father
Bill continues to work on his campaign as Nicki throws herself into helping out. Bill worries Colburn as he wants to take down Bill. Frank pays a visit to the reservation.

Episode 6: Under One Roof
Bill wants more exposure for the casino. Ben and Jodean are further involved in Lois and Frank's bird enterprise. Ana shows back up at the Henricksons with some startling news.

Episode 7: Blood Atonement
Bill and Joey head to Mexico to rescue Lois and Frank. Margene tries to stop Ana from leaving the country. Barb and Tommy come across a surprising event at the casino.

Episode 8: Next Ticket Out
Bill worries about Marilyn's plan that might jeopardize his political career. Barb draws the wrong kind of attention at an all-ladies event. Sarah's plans for the future shocks her family.

Episode 9: End of Days
In the season finale, the state senate election comes around and Bill and Marilyn work on last minute arrangements. A scandal in Kansas makes the Henrickson family rethink their plan about coming clean with their polygamy.

Episode 1: Winter
Original Air Date—16 January 2011
After restful post-election days in the wilderness, reality hits the Henricksons on their return to Salt Lake City. At Home Plus, Bill?s attempts to bolster morale in the wake of his polygamist revelation fall on mostly deaf ears, and he faces an uphill battle for his political life even before the swearing-in. At home, he tries to assuage the concerns of his wives and kids, who face psychological - and physical - threats around town. To stem this growing tide of ill will, Bill decides to hold an open house for his 40,000 constituents, some of whom may actually show up. Alby returns from his desert exile with a newfound desire to "purify" the compound, and exact vengeance on Bill.

Episode 2: A Seat at the Table

Bill's attempt to stage a "safety net" meeting for polygamist leaders is hindered by Alby and Home Plus objectors. In an effort to find common ground with her mother, Barb asks Nancy to join her at a symposium focusing on mother-daughter Mormon challenges. Nicki learns the extent of Adaleen's isolation; Marge despairs over the quandary involving Ana and Goran; and Cara Lynn impresses her math teacher, and Greg.

Episode 3: Certain Poor Shepards

The Henricksons try to put on a unified face during Christmas, but are tested amidst numbing revelations from Barb, Marge and Adaleen. Meanwhile, Lura takes drastic measures in response to Alby?s zealous efforts to "purify" the compound; Lois drifts towards the deep end; Bill tries to soften up a senator; Ben bonds with Heather; and Cara Lynn looks for answers about her father.

Episode 4: The Oath

With his swearing-in ceremony only days away, Bill searches for ways to overcome the anti-polygamist sentiment swelling among state officials. Meanwhile, Barb?s strategic attendance at a First Ladies? fashion show triggers lingering resentment between Nicki and Margene - and between Barb and Nicki. Rhonda and exiled polygamist Verlan try to shake down Alby; Margene and Pam find their niche with Goji Blast and Michael Sainte; Nicki pushes for Cara Lynn?s adoption; Lois learns the source of her ailment; Ben rewards Heather for her sensitivity.

Episode 5: The Special Relationship

Bill makes a deal in the Senate, but finds new obstacles to his livelihood being raised by LDS officials. Fed up with interning, Barb considers a dramatic life change that could have far-ranging consequences for the family. A legal obstacle hinders Bill and Nicki?s efforts to adopt Cara Lynn. Margene preaches the Goji gospel; Rhonda encourages Verlan to do Alby?s bidding; Lois longs for her old life with Frank; Don takes another hit for Bill.

Episode 6: D.I.V.O.R.C.E

Barb capitulates on Bill?s marital plans, but not on her hopes to attain the priesthood. To shore up her case, she enlists ex-Mormon feminist Renee Clayton, much to her mother Nancy?s chagrin. Meanwhile, Bill faces new impeachment pressure in the senate, and scrambles for new clients in the wake of LDS boycotts of his stores. With her eye on a new prize, Nicki chafes at the status quo. Margene eyes a sponsor for her pro-polygamy children?s rally; Cara Lynn puts in extra hours with her tutor, Greg; Alby vows to combat Safety Net with a purification program of his own; Bud Mayberry warns Bill of an imminent threat. Reunited by Bill, Frank and Lois strike a deal; Heather makes a decision that deflates a vulnerable Ben.

Episode 7: Til Death Do Us Part

Bill eyes a wedding as a chance to reseal his commitment to his three wives, though Barb remains skeptical. In the meantime, Nicki looks to take full advantage of her special day. Alby makes a game-changing power play; Lois resists Barb?s vision of her future; Marge is cautioned about the financial pitfalls of Goji Blast; Cara Lynn brings a guest to the theater; Heather changes her mind about Ben.

Episode 8: The Noose Tightens

Bill looks to Alby?s past in an effort to thwart his ambitions, leading Alby to concoct yet another diabolical scheme to bring down the Henricksons. Meanwhile, in the wake of a festering investigation into Bill?s private life, an incredulous Barb finds herself targeted as her husband?s accomplice. Nicki?s "rescue" of a skittish compound wife complicates life at home, and lands her in hot water at Juniper Creek. Stung by an assertion by Michael Sainte, Margene finds herself at the crossroads in her business with Goji Blast. Don suffers emotional aftershocks that could have a lasting impact on Home Plus; Cara Lynn?s secret leaks out; Heather apologizes for spilling the beans about Margene.

Episode 9: Exorcism

With Alby on the run and posing an imminent threat, the Henrickson family finds itself in lockdown mode. Frazzled though not incapacitated after a near-death experience, Nicki decides to break Cara Lynn?s "dependencies" by enrolling her in boarding school. Barb spars with Bill about her new church?s stance on polygamy, and her commitment to the family. Lois begs Frank to rescue her from confinement; Margene vows to repay Pam for her Goji investment; Ben (Douglas Smith) and Bill debate what to do about Rhonda.

Episode 10: When Men and Mountains Meet
Original Air Date—20 March 2011
With the specter of jail time looming, Bill charts out contingency plans for the family, while orchestrating a last-minute preemptive referendum on the senate floor. Meanwhile, Barb goes forward with her plan to join a reform-minded church; Margene contemplates taking a hiatus to serve as a volunteer abroad; and Nicki despairs being left alone as her family splinters. Cara Lynn considers a return to her roots; Ben enlists Rhonda to help him win over Heather; Don shares some bad news with Bill about Home Plus. As Easter arrives, the Henricksons receive heartening support from their polygamist constituents, briefly lifting the dark cloud that?s been hovering over the family since Bill?s election. Finally, an unexpected vision leads Bill to a final confrontation with his most deeply-held beliefs.
