About Three Rivers
This is a medical drama about an acclaimed transplant hospital and the team, which hold life and death in their hands everyday. The team is comprised of Dr. Andy Yablonski, the lead surgeon; Dr. Miranda Foster, a woman trying to live up to her father's reputation; Dr. David Lee, a resident more interested in his private affairs; Ryan Abbott, the new transplant coordinator struggling to balance the aspects of his job; Pam Acosta, the surgical nurse and Dr. Sophia Jordan, the head of surgery who needs to keep everyone in line. Every case is viewed from the perspective of the team, the recipient and the donor.

Season 1 Episode Guide



1. Place Of Life
After suffering a heart attack, a young pregnant woman's life hangs in the balance and the only way to save her is for her to undergo a heart transplant. When complications arise with the donor's family, Andy races the clock to save not only her life but that of her unborn child.

2. Ryan's First Day
Andy and Pam work with an 18-year-old college student in need of a double lung transplant but face a big dilemma with the organ reaching its destination.

3. Good Intentions
Andy goes out on a limb for a patient, who is a former drug user in convincing UNOS to allow the transplant. Dr. Jordan treats a very dedicated lawyer who ends threatening to sue her. David and Ryan encounter a unique situation when they head to pick the donation.

4. Code Green
When a bus carrying a group of high school football players crashes, the doctors at Three Rivers must all work together to save their lives. Andy and Ryan also have to find a heart to save another young man's life.

5. Alone Together
When Rena's partner on the police force needs a new heart due to an aortic aneurysm, Andy ends up risking everything by trying a new unproven procedure to save him.

6. Where We Lie
An 8-year-old boy bonds with Lisa who she saw being crushed by a ride at a fair. Andy and David try to get a patient some much needed medical attention.

7. The Luckiest Man
Victor,a car crash victim insists he wants to be taken off the life support machine so that he can help others with his organs, while Andy and Sophia do all they can to save him.

8.The Kindness of Strangers

A wealthy man attempts to buy his dying wife a new liver when she is denied a legal transplant. Andy gets a blast from the past when an old shows up at the hospital.

9. A Roll of the Dice

When a woman's husband needs a new kidney, she contemplates beginning a "Daisy Chain", which means she will donate a kidney to someone and they in turn will donate their kidney until the chain is completed with her husband getting his kidney. Andy is not sure he wants to support such an action and he is concerned that another patient is rejecting his recently transplanted heat.

11. Every Breath You Take

When the captain of a firehouse needs a lung transplant, one of his firefighters must make the tough decision of whether or not she wants to be a living donor. Andy faces a personal dilemma when his uncle comes to Three Rivers with a stab wound, but requests that Andy keep it to himself.

12. Case Histories

When Dr. Luc Bovell returns to Three Rivers, Andy is annoyed at his rival's status and popularity since he is rude to his patients.

13. Status 1A

When Kuol has a stroke, Andy puts him at the top of the donor list to receive a new heart. However, his transplant is put in jeopardy when the cops threaten to seize the money that was raised for Kuol's surgery.
