10. The Source
In the continued investigation of the "Iraq War Syndrome", David checks out a theory that a cutting edge water purification system may be the culprit. In Mexico, David and Carlos explore the possibility that mosquitoes bred to eliminate malaria might be responsible for the hemophilia epidemic. 12. Resurrection
David and Jill make a trip to Colorado where a rampant SARS-like outbreak is occurring. David is in shock when he discovers that the outbreak is Spanish Flu, a virus not seen since 1918, except when David dug it up in Nunavut. Racked with guilt, he inadvertently walks into the path of a car and is sent to the hospital in a coma. Mayko heads to Colorado to try to find Patient Zero in the Denver outbreak.

13. The Longest Night
David recovers consciousness, and leaves the hospital determined to admit his guilt and find a vaccine before the outbreak becomes a pandemic. Jill can't forgive David for lying to her. David is finally able to determine that the flu outbreak started with a migrating hawk which fed upon the remains of the corpse in Nunavut. But how did this happen? An unexpected link take the team back to the Miranda virus and the man who's behind the atrocity.
