Michael Douglas: 'I've beat cancer'

Michael Douglas has revealed that he is currently cancer-free.

People reports that during an appearance on NBC's Today Show, the actor - who was diagnosed with a cancerous throat tumour in August 2010 - insisted that he has been given a clean bill of health by his doctors.

"I feel good, relieved. The tumour is gone," he said.

"But, you know, I have to check out on a monthly basis now to maintain. I think the odds are with the tumour gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer [is] that I've got it beat."

Douglas, 66, added that he has learned from the experience and plans to "take a couple of months of getting checked out. But it's been a wild six-month ride."

Charlie Sheen Rushed To Hospital

Charlie Sheen was just rushed to the hospital, TMZ has learned.

We're told Charlie was taken out of his home on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance at 7 AM.

Two young women exited the house at the same time Charlie was taken out with a towel partially over his face.

Charlie was transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A.

The 911 call was placed at 6:35 AM.

Sources say Charlie was having severe abdominal pains which triggered the 911 call. Stan Rosenfield, Charlie's publicist, tells TMZ Charlie was in the emergency room this morning -- sleeping.

Update:

Charlie Sheen's Bender -- 'Briefcase' Full of Cocaine

Charlie Sheen had a "briefcase full of cocaine" delivered to his home -- and was using large amounts of the drug during the 36-hour bender that landed him in the hospital ... this according to a source inside the house.

We're told Sheen had several people inside his home during the 36-hour span that started Tuesday night -- including 2 porn stars, a business associate, and several other women.

After hours of drinking, we're told a person showed up to the house with a designer "briefcase" -- that contained multiple "bricks" of cocaine.

We're told Sheen immediately began doing the drug for several hours.

Sheen was eventually hospitalized early Thursday morning for "severe abdominal pain."

Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield, tells TMZ, "I can't comment because I have no idea if it's true. You choose to believe your source. I don't."

I would not be surprised to see the Police get involved but then I don't see him going to jail either as I can see a judge ordering him to rehab for say 60 days like a judge did to Lindsay Lohan at the back end of last year, I can also see Two & A Half Men having a reduced amount of episodes again because of Charlie's new problems.

Charlie Sheen Treated for Hernia -- No O.D.

Charlie Sheen suffered a hiatal hernia in his stomach -- not an overdose -- and it may have triggered the 911 call that landed Charlie in the hospital.

Sources tell us the hernia is located in Charlie's stomach. The condition causes acid and food to back up into the esophagus ... and we're told it causes "horrible, horrendous pain."

We're told Charlie has had a hiatal hernia for years.

As we previously reported, Sheen was hospitalized early this morning.

Well that is some good news at least.

Diddy 'sued for causing 9/11 attack'

Diddy is being sued for $1 trillion after being accused of causing 9/11.

A woman named Valerie Turks filed the suit against Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, alleging that he was the cause behind the collapse of the World Trade Centre in 2001 and stole a poker chip from her worth "100 zillions of dollars".

Turks was denied a restraining order against the rapper, but the judge set a hearing for the case for January 31.

"[Diddy] went through Kim Porter and Rodney King and knocked down the WTC and then they all came and knocked my children down. Set me up to be on disability and disabled my baby. He put my baby in a wheelchair," Billboard quotes Turks as saying in her legal papers.

"Plus I won a lot of money at the casino in Mississippi and Sean P. Diddy Combs has my chip to my money," she continued. "I heard he gave it to Gwen Allen to hold but she cannot cash it in. I want my chip please help me.

"It's well worth over 100 zillions of dollars, and my hospital keys. They put me and my baby in the hospital and broke my baby 2 legs and sexual assaulted my children and crushed us (sic)."

Turks, who is asking for $900 billion dollars in child support and $100 billion dollars for "loss of income", also claims she once dated Diddy and share a son, 23-year-old Cornelius Wilson.

Charlie Sheen Enters Rehab, Men Goes on Hiatus

Following an alleged three-day bender and its resulting hospitalization, Charlie Sheen is finally seeking the help those close to him so  desperately hoped for.

“Charlie Sheen has voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today,” Sheen’s publicist Stan Rosenfield said in a statement Friday. “He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern.” Of course, Sheen’s impending treatment will impact production on his CBS series, Two and a Half Men.

But the team behind the hit comedy is rallying around the troubled star, making their support known in a joint statement Friday:

“Due to Charlie Sheen’s decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing Two and a Half Men on production hiatus. We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision”

Sheen’s decision to enter rehab is a far cry from the statement his rep released earlier, confirming the actor’s plans to return to work on Men Tuesday. But, as Deadline reported in early January, it’s a welcome surprise given the studios’ growing concern over Sheen’s well being.

I am a huge fan of the show and I would rather have a reduced season of Two & A Half Men and a clean and healthy Charlie Sheen.

CBS Order Additional Episodes Of Other Comedy Shows To Fill Two & A Half Men Gap

CBS confirmed today that it has ordered two additional episodes of Rules of Engagement to prepare for the possibility that Two and Half Men will have to go on an extended hiatus because of Charlie Sheen’s stint in rehab.

The network may also be close to ordering additional episodes of Mike & Molly, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It’s unlikely that How I Met Your Mother will have to produce additional episodes. “We’re set to do 24 this year, which is the same as we did last year and it’s a big season, and that’s a lot to do,” executive producer Craig Thomas told EW exclusively. “I don’t think we’d never say no to doing a couple of extra episodes if that were to be helpful because we love making the show. We would probably make it work. It’s just speculation at this point. I haven’t heard anything about that. It’s certainly possible. It’s great to have a big order like 24. Sometimes it’s 22, but it’s nice to be doing 24 episodes. It’s good in light of the stories we’re telling. It feels like it’s going to take that many to sort of finish the story of this season.”
Meanwhile, some wild reports have surfaced that not only allege that Sheen will receive a cash bonus for completing a rehab program, but that he’s undergoing treatment from the comfort of his own home. A key source debunked the payoff rumor, while Sheen’s spokesman had only this to say about his client’s treatment: “In compliance with the national health privacy laws (HIPPA), no further information relating to Charlie Sheen’s health or his rehab experience will be released without his written permission. I can say that all of us who know Charlie care about him very much. We will support him in any we can in this journey, beginning by respecting his privacy.”

TMZ reported that Sheen’s treatment could take three months. (Additional reporting by Sandra Gonzalez)

Jackass' star Ryan Dunn killed in crash

Ryan Dunn, one of the daredevils who helped make Jackass famous, was killed this morning after his Porsche flew over a guardrail in West Goshen, Pa., according to the West Goshen Police Department. He was 34. M*A*S*H* actor Harry Morgan dies, aged 96

Harry Morgan has died, aged 96.

The actor was perhaps most well known for playing Colonel Potter in the long-running sitcom M*A*S*H*. His son Charles confirmed that Morgan passed away at his home in Los Angeles.

Morgan was a prolific character actor who appeared in over 100 movies, including High Noon, Inherit the Wind, How the West was Won and the 1987 Dragnet remake with Tom Hanks.

He often played loyal sidekicks, sheriffs, Western baddies, police chiefs and judges in his many roles.

Morgan was also known for portraying officer Bill Gannon in the 1967 update of Dragnet, Pete Porter in sitcom Pete and Gladys and Amos Coogan in Hec Ramsey.

He won an Emmy Award in 1980 for his role as Potter in M*A*S*H*.

More recently he appeared in television shows including 3rd Rock from the Sun and Murder, She Wrote.

His son said: "My dad would read a script the way somebody else would read Time magazine and put it down and be on the set the next day.

"Appearing on a talk show to focus on himself because he was Harry Morgan was not nearly as natural as appearing in a role as Pete Porter or Bill Gannon or Colonel Potter, or as the cowboy drifter who wandered into town with Henry Fonda and got wrapped up in a vigilante brigade in Ox-Bow Incident."

Batman cinema shooting: 12 dead at 'Dark Knight Rises' Denver premiere

At least 12 people have been killed and 38 injured in a shooting at a Dark Knight Rises film premiere near Denver, Colorado.

A 24-year-old man named James Holmes is in police custody. He reportedly wore a gas mask and body armour while opening fire at the Century 16 cinema in the city of Aurora in the Denver suburbs.

A 6-year-old child is among the dead and a 3-month-old baby was injured, say reports.

Holmes was arrested in a car park nearby in possession of a rifle, knife and hand-gun. He told police that explosives were stored at his home and offered no resistance when he was detained.

Witnesses have said that the man was wearing a gas mask and body armour before the incident, which occurred during a midnight screening of the new Batman film from Christopher Nolan.

Police chief Dan Oates said: "Witnesses tell us he released some sort of canister. They heard a hissing sound and some gas emerged and the gunman opened fire. The shooting apparently went on for some time."

An explosive device also reportedly went off during the incident, which injured several people in the building.

Brenda Stuart, of local station 850 KOA Radio, told Sky News that movie-goers thought that loud bangs in the cinema were part of the film.

"All of a sudden, they saw bullets flying, and a lot of people ran screaming from the theatre. Then tear gas went off," she explained.

CNN has quoted one witness as saying that he saw a "guy slowly making his way up the stairs and firing, picking random people".

One other gun was recovered from the theatre.
