Jackson Is A Grump On Set

Veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson has embraced turning 60 years old - because he can now be a grumpy old man on film sets.

The Pulp Fiction star has showed little sign of slowing down his movie career since hitting the landmark age in December.

But his committed work ethic often leaves him disappointed with younger colleagues who refuse to toil as hard as he does.

Jackson says, "See, I have this unreasonable expectation that everyone is going to be as prepared as I am when I show up for work. I'm becoming more unreasonable as I grow older."

And he insists it is inexperienced filmmakers who annoy him most, adding: "Most times the actors know what they've got to do; it's young directors from the video world who drive me crazy. I know the shots will probably be used as DVD extras. But when I say this, the young guys stare at me like I'm being evil."

"I am happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from," Madonna told People. "My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones or their homes."

The Material Girl's rep would not specify the amount, but a source told the magazine she contributed $500,000.

David Caruso Sued by Ex-Girlfriend

David Caruso's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his two children claims the CSI: Miami star emotionally abused her during their relationship, and accuses him of "raising his hand" to her during her second pregnancy and keeping a stash of 1970s porn in his bedroom.

Liza Marquez is suing Caruso for fraud, breach of their settlement agreement and emotional distress, according to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday.

The office of Marquez's attorney confirmed the lawsuit to TVGuide.com, but offered no further comment.

Marquez claims in the suit that Caruso, whom she says she met in 2004, promised to provide for her and give her a ring. They later moved in together, and Caruso started to emotionally and mentally abuse her, according to the suit.

Marquez said the actor asked her to terminate her first pregnancy, falsely accused her of cheating on him with his assistant, and further accused her of wanting to sleep with Billy Dee Williams.

She said that after she gave birth to their second child, daughter Paloma, in October 2007, Caruso broke up with her when she was released from the hospital and served her with a paternity action. In August 2008, Caruso agreed to pay Marquez $1 million, but later reneged, the suit claims.

Caruso and Marquez also have a 3-year-old son named Marquez Anthony.

Hennessy Upset About Twin's Mistaken Identity

Actress Jill Hennessy feels sorry for her twin sister Jacqueline - because she's always getting mistaken for the former Law & Order star.

And to make matters worse, her sister is a deeply private person.

Hennessy explains, "I would never want to subject her to my life because she’s inadvertently been the subject of such insanity solely by looking like me. She gets stalked by people who don’t believe she’s my twin.

"She’ll very kindly say, 'I’m Jack, her sister,' and they’ll think she’s lying. They think it’s really Jill Hennessy just being really bitchy! People have yelled at her and just stormed away and I think it’s my fault.

"She’s a brilliant writer and television journalist in Toronto and is well known in Canada in her own right. I do feel bad when I hear the occasional story of somebody who got a little irrational and maybe didn’t have the best grip on reality, getting upset with her. It’s hard not to take it personally and feel somehow responsible."

Jamie Foxx apologizes to Miley Cyrus on Jay Leno

Actor Jamie Foxx, who'd recently insulted Miley Cyrus on his Sirius satellite radio show, made a public apology to the 16-year-old superstar when he visited Jay Leno last night on The Tonight Show. "I so apologize to [Miley], and this is sincere," the Oscar winner told Leno. "I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don't mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far."

Popeater.com has the video.

Last weekend, listeners of The Foxxhole heard Foxx, who has a teen daughter of his own, make fun of Cyrus' physical appearance and advise her to "get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe. Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat."

"I have a radio show," Foxx continued on Leno, apparently not feeling obliged to apologize to Spears or Lohan. "We're really the black Howard Stern. We go at everybody. There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn't mean it maliciously. You know I'm a comedian. You know my heart."

Goldberg Books Second Flight In Decade

New York-based comedienne Whoopi Goldberg is continuing to fight her crippling fear of flying head-on - she's boarding her second flight in a decade to surprise her daughter in Los Angeles.

The actress has shuttled herself across the country on buses before a recent business commitment in London forced her to step on a plane for the transatlantic flight.

A shaken Goldberg accepted an offer from Virgin Atlantic boss Sir Richard Branson to undergo a special course to ease her fear, before boarding a private jet to London with a doctor on standby.

Goldberg hired the medical professional to administer sedatives to her in case she suffered a panic attack during the flight - but she had no need to worry and slept through most of the journey.

And the Sister Act star is now so determined to conquer her fear once and for all, she's ditching the bus for a cross-country flight.

She tells the New York Post, "I had a guy with me (on the flight to London), but I didn't need it. I'm kind of proud. I'm going to fly to the West Coast to surprise my daughter."

Drew Barrymore On Justin Long: "I Think It's Very Confusing"

Though Drew Barrymore and Justin Long have been seen together a lot since breaking up last July, Barrymore says their relationship is purely platonic.

"We're good friends and we're doing a film this summer and I think it's very confusing," Barrymore said during her appearance on Ellen on Friday to promote her new HBO film, Grey Gardens (premiering Saturday at 8 pm/ET). "We're dear friends. I guess people find it a little confusing. I totally understand. It seems like, 'What is the deal with them?', but we just adore each other."

Barrymore said her ex is a "great guy and he deserves the most happiness." But she said she's "just not ready" for a relationship.

"I've spent two years really with a very different life than I've had before," said Barrymore. "My priorities have changed. I directed a film. I did this drama [Grey Gardens]. It was something I've never done anything like, these two challenges, and I don't know how to maintain a relationship, to be honest, while I'm doing all of that."

While Barrymore opened up about her personal life on Ellen, she said on Regis and Kelly that she doesn't post her every move on Twitter like some other celebrities. (Of course, you can satisfy your Twitter fix by clicking here to follow TVGuide.com.)

Bell's Mother Cringed At Dominatrix Role

Kristen Bell's mother beamed with pride when the star appeared on the New York stage - but was horrified to see her dressed up as a dominatrix.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star appeared in the sexy role in the 2001 off-Broadway production of Reefer Madness, and her dedicated mother Lori attended as many shows as she could.

But Lori often found herself excusing her daughter's daring costume to those sat around her.

Bell says, "I had to dress up in a dominatrix outfit and my mother is still in denial about it. When my mum came to see it, she'd spend her whole time whispering to the people next to her, 'That's my daughter up there, but she's not really like that'.

"I was in some latexy jumpsuit and high-heeled boots and, to be quite frank, when you're up on stage under those bright lights the suit doesn't smell too great by the end of the evening.

"Added to that, I couldn't handle the whip at all and kept hitting people nearby, so I was a legitimately scary dominatrix. Believe me, there's nothing sexy about a clumsy girl wielding a whip."

Jackman Fears For His Privileged Kids

Australian actor Hugh Jackman is enjoying the trappings of fame - but fears his children will grow up spoilt by the family's lavish lifestyle.

The X-Men star admits he relishes his fortune because he was a struggling actor until he found fame at the age of 30 when he landed a role in the superhero franchise.

But Jackman is worried that his adopted kids - Oscar, eight, and Ava, four - with wife Deborra-Lee Furness, will turn into Hollywood brats on the back of his success.

He says, "The hard thing is going to be my kids. I'm terrified of them getting on a plane and saying, 'Daddy, what's behind the curtain?'

"They've been brought up with more privilege than I ever had. I lived on a hundred pounds a week until I was 26, with rent and everything. Everyone I knew did, it was fine."

She tells WENN, "People still will come up to me with pick-up lines. It's really amazing. Even when you're pregnant. I guess guys do love a pregnant girl.
