The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle episode guide

Episode 1
We are introduced to Vivienne Vyle and her Jerry Springer-esque style chat show. Whilst on her show she reveals the negative result of a paternity test to which the wronged man starts a ruckus leading to an overweight security guard falling on Vivienne, sending her straight to the hospital. We meet her behind the scenes crew- Helena, the producer from hell whose baby only speaks Spanish because she spends more time with her nanny than her own mum, young show runner Abigail (who is sacked, reinstated, and never seen again after this episode), Dr. Jonathan Fowler, the show's new resident psychologist, Carol, the floor manager, Des, the show director, Damien, the show's researcher and the one responsible for "preparing" guests to go on stage, and last but not least, Jared, Vivienne's gay husband and biggest cheerleader.

Episode 2
Vivienne decides that she needs to be more like her talk show rival, Chris Connor, a host who is engaging, charming, and adored by his audience- everything that Vivienne is not.

Episode 3
Vivienne and Jared start the day arguing about plumbing problems and Vivienne runs out the door before Jared can do his customary argument-ending ritual: ringing a bell like a train porter. This is only the beginning of a bad day for Vivienne, who starts the day off with an interview with a tabloid vampire that calls her a washed up weather girl and a one trick pony in addition to calling Jared "a kept man". High strung Helena, upset that her actress sister won a Hollywood film role, throws her cell phone- which intersects with Carol's forehead.

Episode 4
The Vivienne Vyle Show is nominated for a TV-Pick award.

Episode 5
The morning after the TV-Pick awards Vivienne cannot get out of bed. She is faint, sick, and uncharacteristically absent from work for the day. Concerned, Dr. Jonathan and Helena teleconference with her at home though Jared is more of a hindrance than a help as he fawns over Vivienne and complains that she shouldn't be bothered. No worries though, Dr. Jonathan determines that Vivienne's problems are psychological and sets out to fix her. Dr. Jonathan and Helena share a secret kiss.

Episode 6
This time it is Jared who is the center of attention as a journalist for The Daily Mail is sniffing out proof of his attendance at a wild gay party where a teenage rent boy died. As Miriam conducts damage control, The Vivienne Vyle Show readies for the special final show of the year, the first ever live Vivienne Vyle Show.

Curb your Enthusiasm Episode Guide

Season 1 – Curb Your Enthusiasm
This was a "mockumentary" about Larry David considering a return to stand-up comedy. The situations were acted (most not scripted), just like the series is. This was a great set up for the forthcoming sitcom.

Episode 1 – The Pants Tent
Larry goes to the movies with one of Cheryl's friends and his pants have an unusual bulge in them, making him look like he's having an erection.

Episode 2 – Ted and Mary
Larry goes shopping with Mary Steenburgen and her mother, but things take a turn when Larry takes a drink out of Mary's mother's glass of water. When he realizes whose water it is, he stops... then gags!

Episode 3 – Porno Gil
Larry and Cheryl attend the party of a former porn star. Jeff, fearful of his wife finding his hidden pornography should he die during an upcoming surgery, asks Larry to move his stash.

Episode 4 – The Bracelet
After offending his wife, Larry decides to purchase a present to smooth things over. However, his shabby appearance thwarts his plans and leads to an interesting afternoon with a blind man.

Episode 5 – Interior Decorator
Larry has some medical problems involving a certain bracelet. No biggy. Then larger problems arise when Larry finds out he shares the same interior decorator as Diane Keaton.

Episode 6 – The Wire
Needing to get their neighbors' approval to bury a wire hanging across their yard, Larry and Cheryl come across one couple with a non-negotiable demand: a meet-and-greet with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. But when the lawyer husband has to do last minute work for Jeff, things quickly fall apart.

Episode 7 – AAMCO
Jeff gets a new car, and when Larry takes it for a spin, a commercial comes on the radio for AAMCO, with a noise sounding much like a car horn from behind. Upon hearing this, Larry curses the man behind him, prompting the man to rear-end Jeff's brand new car. Also, Larry and Cheryl hold a dinner party.

Episode 8 – Beloved Aunt
When Cheryl's aunt dies, Larry is left in charge of the obituary. But when the newspaper makes an unfortunate typographical error, things take an expected turn for the worse.

Episode 9 – Affirmative Action
Larry gets himself in trouble when he makes a rude racial comment to Richard's black dermatologist friend. Larry later loses Cheryl's prescription, which causes him to really regret his earlier comment.

Episode 10 – The Group
Larry runs into his old girlfriend, and she asks him to escort her to an incest-survivors meeting. Cheryl is asked to co-star in The Vagina Monologues when one of the actresses is sick.
