Transporter' TV series casts three more
Three more actors have signed up to appear in the forthcoming television adaptation of The Transporter.
Prison Break star Chris Vance will play the role of expert driver Frank Martin in the series, the role originated by Jason Statham in three films released between 2002 and 2008.
Hannes Jaenicke will play a dangerous art collector named Kyber, according to Serienload. Martin will clash with the villain when he unknowingly delivers a forged painting.
Jaenicke played Bert Myers on Highlander: The Raven from 1998 to 1999 and also appeared in 2002 Steven Seagal film Half Past Dead.
Charly Hübner will also appear in several episodes of The Transporter as a technology expert who maintains Frank Martin's specialist vehicle.
The actor previously appeared in such films as 2006's The Lives of Others and 2009 historical drama The Countess.
The Transporter's pilot episode will also feature Uwe Ochsenknecht as a ruthless thug named Frederick, who kidnaps a young girl on the orders of a Russian crime boss.
Ochsenknecht played Stilgar in 2000 miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune and also appeared in 1981 film Das Boot.
François Berléand, who played Frank Martin's cop ally Tarconi in the Transporter films, will also reprise his role for the television spinoff.
The Transporter will premiere in 2012 on Cinemax.
