What the Swede did in the river was diabolical especially as the boy was watching and what a dumb idiot telling Cullen he was there to kill him after he killed his brother especially as he was holding a gun to his head

Durant refusing to supply Cullen with fresh water before his workers die was the sort dirty low down trick you would expect from him but finding their own was great and Durant killing the man and giving Sean the gun was evil but using the cholera epidemic to burn the body with the others was clever

It was obvious the senator was going to be missed after Durant killed him and you can understand why Sean was worried as he was the last one to hold the gun that killed him but being shot in the back by Mickey to save his own ass was sad, Elam going off the rails after Eva gave the baby away was understandable

Considering Elam was drunk that was an impressive escape from the hotel but taking the boy as leverage was a little predictable

Durant taking advantage of Cullen's misfortune by taking control of the rail-road construction was a little predictable and who would of thought Elam mounting a rescue attempt would have such a savage end but Cullen marrying the girl to save his neck was amusing
