Terminator: Salvation' McG admits mistakes, teases director's cut
Terminator: Salvation could get a director's cut, according to its director McG.
The reboot of the Terminator series starring Christian Bale was widely panned by critics upon release.
McG told Collider: "We did the best we could. I poured everything I had into that picture.
"Yeah, there's some outstanding footage out there, and we'll see if there's a director's release to come, in the future. You never know. Time will tell."
He continued: "I feel like we did a lot right with Terminator, and I feel like we did a lot wrong. I really tried to deliver and do the best I could, with making that film.
"It worked for a lot of people. A lot of people didn't like the ending. You live and learn."
Former music director McG's films also include Charlie's Angels and its sequel Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
The director's next project is the action comedy This Means War, which co-stars Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine.
This Means War centres on two spies who go into war with each other after falling in love with the same woman.
Bradley Cooper, Seth Rogen and Matt Damon have been attached to the two lead roles, with Cooper dropping out last year.
