About Rake (US)

Rake (US) Premiered on FOX on January 19, 2014

About the Show:
RAKE, a character-driven drama based on the Australian nominee for Best Television Drama series of the same name, follows the comedic and chaotic life of criminal defense lawyer KEEGAN DEANE (Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Greg Kinnear, “Little Miss Sunshine,” “The Kennedys”).

On a single day, Keegan Deane is described as many things. His ex-wife-calls him “unreliable”; his son calls him a “pal”; most judges think he’s “an outrage”; the IRS calls him a “defendant”; and to his former dealer, he’s simply a “tragic loss.”

Brilliant, frustratingly charming and with zero filter, Keegan is one of life’s great addicts. His staggering lack of discretion and inability to self-censor land him the cases that nobody else will touch, but behind that lies a resolute optimism and belief in justice that fuel his dogged determination to defend those who seem beyond redemption. He always tries to do the right thing, but at the same time struggles to save himself from the many self-destructive elements that plague his own life, such as his overindulgence of various excesses, including women and gambling.

Keegan gets a majority of his cases from BEN LEON (John Ortiz, “Silver Linings Playbook,” “Luck”), his best friend since law school. Ben is married to SCARLET (Necar Zadegan, “Emily Owens, M.D.,” “The Event”), another of Keegan’s old friends and, as Assistant District Attorney for the city of Los Angeles, quite often his opponent in court.

In addition to Keegan’s cases within the justice system, the series follows his personal trials and tribulations, including his mounting debt to his bookie and his overlapping liaisons with various women, including MELISSA “MIKKI” PARTRIDGE (Bojana Novakovic, “Edge of Darkness,” “Drag Me To Hell”), Keegan’s favorite prostitute and de-facto love interest. Also among his predicaments is his ongoing battle with the IRS. But always there to help Keegan clean up his mess is LEANNE ZANDER (Tara Summers, “Ringer,” “Damages”), his extremely put-upon, no-nonsense assistant.

Meanwhile, Keegan’s ex-wife, MADDY (Miranda Otto, “The Starter Wife,” “War of the Worlds”), a psychologist by profession, begrudgingly acts as his therapist. She also is the mother of their hormonal son, FINN (Ian Colletti, “ Phoebe In Wonderland”), who displays many of the same proclivities as his father.

Each morning, Keegan tends to wake up bruised – physically, emotionally, spiritually. Usually it’s a combination of them all. Then it’s out into the world – onto the battleground of Keegan’s day.

About Those Who Kill

Those Who Kill Premiered on Lifetime Movie Network on March 03, 2014

About the Show:
"Those Who Kill," LMN's thrilling new drama based on the Danish crime series format inspired by the bestselling work of author Elsebeth Egholm, follows Catherine Jensen (Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actress Chloë Sevigny) a recently promoted homicide detective who tracks down serial killers and relentlessly seeks the truth behind the disappearance of her brother. The series also stars James D'Arcy as forensic psychologist, Thomas Schaeffer, who works with Catherine on investigations.

As a freshly minted homicide detective, Jensen has garnered a reputation for overstepping her boundaries in her unrelenting pursuit to solve Pittsburgh’s most gruesome murders. Motivated by her past, including the disappearance of her brother and the suspicion that her stepfather is a serial killer, she often finds herself emotionally connected to the victims she’s investigating. Jensen enlists the help of Thomas Schaeffer, (James D'Arcy), a forensic psychologist who has a tumultuous relationship with the police department, to provide insight into her cases and her personal investigation into her stepfather. He too finds himself deeply connected to each case, but often through the killer, which proves to be a hazardous undertaking. The pair shares a skewed sense of judgment that often puts them, and sometimes even their families, at risk. As these two captivating yet flawed characters come together, their bond often rescues them from their individual demons but may be the source of more harmful tribulations.

About Remedy

Remedy Premiered on Global on February 24, 2014

About the Show:
A high stakes, prime-time medical drama, Remedy promises a distinctive "upstairs/downstairs" glimpse behind the scenes of a downtown hospital, and goes beyond the OR and the ER to reveal the compelling community who together make the healing happen.

The series follows Griffin Conner, son of the Acting Chief-of-Staff, and brother to the strong and resourceful Sandy (an ICU nurse) and the highly disciplined, perfectionist Melissa (a general surgeon). A med-school dropout, having left in a haze of disgrace, Griffin is forced to return to Bethune General Hospital as its newest orderly. Working "downstairs" alongside a cast of colourful characters, Griffin gets a new perspective on a world he thought he knew.

Award-winning actor Enrico Colantoni (Flashpoint, Galaxy Quest, Veronica Mars) plays the Chief of Staff and family patriarch Dr. Allan Conner. Dillon Casey (Nikita, The Vow, MVP) stars as the charismatic med-school dropout and prodigal son Griffin. Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries, Primeval: New World) plays Melissa, a general surgeon with her own set of complex issues and Sarah Allen (Jozi-H, Murdoch Mysteries) plays Sandy, the eldest daughter, ICU nurse and bride-to-be.

About The 100

The 100 Premiered on The CW on March 19, 2014

About the Show:
Ninety-seven years ago, nuclear Armageddon decimated planet Earth, destroying civilization. The only survivors were the 400 inhabitants of 12 international space stations that were in orbit at the time. Three generations have been born in space, the survivors now number 4,000, and resources are running out on their dying "Ark" - the 12 stations now linked together and repurposed to keep the survivors alive. Draconian measures including capital punishment and population control are the order of the day, as the leaders of the Ark take ruthless steps to ensure their future, including secretly exiling a group of 100 juvenile prisoners to the Earth's surface to test whether it's habitable. For the first time in nearly a century, humans have returned to planet Earth. Among the 100 exiles are Clarke, the bright teenage daughter of the Ark's chief medical officer; Wells, son of the Ark's Chancellor; the daredevil Finn; and the brother/sister duo Bellamy and Octavia, whose illegal sibling status has always led them to flaunt the rules. Technologically blind to what's happening on the planet below them, the Ark's leaders - Clarke's widowed mother, Abby; the Chancellor, Jaha; and his shadowy second in command, Kane - are faced with difficult decisions about life, death and the continued existence of the human race. For the 100 young people on Earth, however, the alien planet they've never known is a mysterious realm that can be magical one moment and lethal the next. With the survival of the human race entirely in their hands, THE 100 must find a way to transcend their differences, unite and forge a new path on a wildly changed Earth that's primitive, intense and teeming with the unknown.
