Spider-Man' to film in New York, LA

Shooting locations for Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot have been revealed.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Marvel Comics adaptation will be filmed in Hollywood and New York.

Sony Pictures' lot in Los Angeles is expected to be the primary shooting location. The Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood and Immanuel Presbyterian Church in mid-Wilshire will host on-location shoots. Filming is scheduled to take place over a 90-day period.

"This is the fourth Spider-Man production we have shot primarily in Los Angeles and for good reason," said Sony Pictures exec Steve Elzer. "The crews here are the best in the world but there is a comfort level in producing a project of this size and scope on your own backlot."

Almost 1,000 crew members are expected to work on the set construction. Initial work on the project began two weeks ago.

The Spider-Man reboot arrives in theatres on July 4, 2012.

Stephen Dorff details 'Blade' spinoff idea

Stephen Dorff has said that he hopes to star in a spinoff film to Blade.

The actor played villain vampire Deacon Frost in the 1999 Blade movie. Speaking to fan blog Dark Lord Bunnykins, Dorff detailed his and Blade director Stephen Norrington's vision for a Deacon Frost movie.

"Me and Steve Norrington had a cool treatment for that, and when vampires got all this trending again, we thought we should do the adult version, more of like a Scarface Deacon Frost movie," the Somewhere star said.

He added: "Blade was such a ‘90s thing. I didn’t want to do a Blade movie, I just really wanted to take Deacon and then do a whole other thing which was much more today."

Last year, reports surfaced that Dorff would reprise his role as Frost in a prequel trilogy focused on his character.

The actor also said that he and Norrington might take the idea and make a film with a new character instead of basing it on the Blade franchise, because New Line owns the rights to Blade.

Dorff added that Norrington is "someone I really like and would love to work with again".

Robert De Niro hoping for more 'Fockers'

Robert De Niro has expressed his desire to star in more films from the Meet The Parents franchise.

Speaking to PA, the Oscar-winning actor - who plays retired CIA operative Jack Byrnes - revealed that he enjoyed the latest instalment Little Fockers.

He said: "I enjoyed it. If we did another one or two, I'm fine with that - I'd love to. Everybody has to get up to speed and want to do it and then it happens."

De Niro, who stars alongside Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand, suggested that his favourite character is his own.

He continued: "I like Jack because he's fun to play and I like the other characters. And it's very satisfying when you come up with a character that everybody likes and with this film it was great because everyone was coming up with good ideas for the characters and the situations and that's fun to do.

"I think that people can recognise these characters because they are based on a truth and the story is based on real situations even when it gets a little out there. Jack is just very protective of his daughter and his family and everyone knows that feeling."
