About A Touch of Cloth

A Touch of Cloth Premiered on Sky1 on August 26, 2012

About the Show:
As far as we're concerned, Charlie Brooker's one of the UK's shining comedy lights - armed with a cutting wit and an encyclopaedic pop culture knowledge to match.

So we're very excited to announce he's joining forces with John Hannah and Suranne Jones for a special one-off comedy A Touch Of Cloth, which will spoof the very best and worst of British crime dramas made in the last decade.

Based on a story by Boris Starling (Messiah) the screenplay was written by Charlie Brooker (Dead Set) and Daniel Maier (Harry Hill’s TV Burp), with Ben Caudell, Peter Holmes, Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris. The programme was commissioned by Lucy Lumsden, Head of Comedy, Sky Entertainment.

A Touch of Cloth is an all-encompassing parody (1 x 120 minutes) of every police procedural ever written. It stars John Hannah (The Mummy, Spartacus) as DCI Jack Cloth - a maverick, heavy drinking loner who has thrown himself into his work following the mysterious death of his wife. The damaged, haunted Cloth is teamed with plucky no-nonsense sidekick DC Anne Oldman, played by Suranne Jones (Coronation Street, Unforgiven).

Together the pair investigate a series of increasingly grisly murders and find themselves on the trail of a devious killer. As you do. If you’re a detective. The case leads Cloth and Oldman from leafy forests to sinister lock-ups, from the luxury home of an arrogant TV chef to the cold dissection rooms of vampish forensic pathologist Natasha Sachet (Daisy Beaumont), packing in as many jokes as humanly possible along the way. Their boss, A.C.C. Tom Boss, played by Julian Rhind-Tutt (Green Wing, The Hour) repeatedly demands results, fast. No, faster than that. Faster! Slow down. Not that much. Hold it there. Yeah, precisely that fast.

Lucy Lumsden, Head of Comedy, Sky Entertainment, commented: “Witty, naughty and unashamedly silly - Charlie Brooker gives the British TV Detective genre a right good comedy kicking with this one-off special for Sky 1 HD.”

Charlie Brooker, co-writer, commented: “After you’ve seen A Touch of Cloth you’ll never be able to watch another detective show again. Not because it’s a devastating pisstake, but because you’ll have smashed your TV to pieces in a disappointed fury.” Daniel Maier, co-writer, commented: “It’s like Airplane! for a detective series except for not being Police Squad”.

About Capture

Capture Premiered on The CW on July 30, 2013

About the Show:
In the wild, you are either the hunter or you are the prey. Twelve teams of two are about to enter the Hunting Grounds, a high-tech wilderness compound, where they must live in primitive conditions for one month in a winner-take-all battle to survive. At the mercy of the Game Master, the teams compete against each other for scarce resources and a $250,000 grand prize. Each week, different teams are designated as the Hunters. The teams being hunted are living on limited rations and wearing high-tech equipment that forces them to stay constantly on the move, making hunger and exhaustion very real problems. Additional food can be found at the Supply Station, but since the Hunters may have the area staked out at any time, a visit to the Station is extremely risky. Emotions run high and sabotage is common as the teams all work to stay on the move and out of the range of the Hunters. The individual teams work through the tension and tough conditions, but relationships are often pushed to the breaking point. Meanwhile, the Hunters are using strategy and the latest GPS technology to track down the other teams and tag them by activating a pulsating device known as the Talon. When the Hunters have two teams in captivity, the rest of the competitors will vote on who stays and who goes. As the teams are eliminated, the Game Master also continuously decreases the size of the playing field, making hiding places even scarcer for those who remain. In this sophisticated game of cat-and-mouse, only one team will prevail to walk away with the $250,000 prize. CAPTURE is from Renegade 83 and Blackbird Television in association with Warner Horizon Television with executive producers David Garfinkle (“Ready for Love”), Jay Renfroe (“Ready for Love”) and Greg Goldman (“Ready for Love”), Brady Connell (“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”) and co-executive producers Shye Sutherland (“Fear Factor”) & Sean Foley (“Survivor”).

About Mistresses (US)

Mistresses (US) Premiered on ABC on June 03, 2013

About the Show:

Based on the hit UK television series of the same name, Mistresses is a provocative and thrilling drama about the scandalous lives of a sexy and sassy group of four girlfriends, each on her own path to self-discovery.

Savannah ("Savi") is a successful career woman working toward the next phase in her life -- both professionally and personally -- bucking for partner at the law firm where she works while also trying to start a family with her husband, Harry. They've been trying to get pregnant for some time, but when their fertility issues begin to take center stage, Savi finds herself attracted to her flirtatious colleague, Dominic.

Savi's free-spirited and capricious baby sister, Josslyn, couldn't be more different, living single, serial dating and partying, and regularly leaning on her big sister. A real estate agent, Josslyn has no interest in a committed, long-term relationship.

Their common best friend, April, is a recent widow and mother of a ten-year-old daughter. In the effort to rebuild her life and move forward, April opens a shop for home decorating. After she receives her late husband's lucrative life insurance check, she begins getting prank phone calls and tells her closest girlfriends that she's convinced her husband is still alive.

Karen is a therapist with her own thriving practice, reconnecting with the girls after her involvement in a complicated relationship with a wealthy, married patient goes too far; she was having an affair with a terminally ill client to whom she had prescribed morphine. After his death, the man's distraught son, Sam, confides in a guilt-ridden Karen, unaware of her role in his father's life. The grieving widow, Elizabeth Grey (recurring guest star Penelope Ann Miller [The Artist]), has no idea her late husband had a romance with another woman.

These four friends find support and guidance with each other as they brave their turbulent journeys and life's storms of excitement, secrecy and betrayal, all the while bound by the complex relationships they've created.

Mistresses stars Alyssa Milano as Savannah ("Savi") Davis, Yunjin Kim as Karen Kim, Rochelle Aytes as April Malloy, Jes Macallan as Josslyn Carver, Brett Tucker as Harry Davis, Jason George as Dominic Taylor and Erik Stocklin as Sam Grey.

Based on the UK television series, Mistresses is executive-produced by Rina Mimoun (Privileged, Gilmore Girls), K.J. Steinberg (Gossip Girl), Robert Sertner (Revenge, No Ordinary Family) and Douglas Rae (Wuthering Heights, Camelot, Mistresses, Raw, Meadowlands). The series is from ABC Studios.

About Devious Maids

Devious Maids Premieres on Lifetime on June 23, 2013

About the Show:
Lifetime will premiere its highly-anticipated new drama "Devious Maids," executive produced by Marc Cherry ("Desperate Housewives") and Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives"), on Sunday, June 23, at 10PM ET/PT. The ensemble all-star cast, Ana Ortiz ("Ugly Betty"), Dania Ramirez ("Entourage"), Roselyn Sánchez ("Without a Trace"), Edy Ganem ("Livin’ Loud") and Judy Reyes ("Scrubs"), portray five maids with ambition and dreams of their own while working for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.

In "Devious Maids," murder and mayhem collide in the mansions of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families. Class warfare has never been as fun and dirty as it is in the tony enclave where the staff is as clever, witty, outrageous and downright devilish as their employers. Whoever holds the dirt holds the power, and before the season is over, illicit affairs will be revealed and deep dark secrets exposed as we learn the sordid details behind a shocking murder of a beloved housemaid.

The series centers on a close-knit group of maids who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic "upstairs-downstairs" universe that engulfs their employers. Rosie (Ramirez), a widow who left her son back in Mexico when her husband died, works as the maid and nanny for a pair of self-absorbed and successful actors, Peri and Spence Westmore (Mariana Klaveno, "True Blood," and Grant Show, "Swing Town"). Aspiring singer Carmen (Sánchez), hopes that her pop star employer Alejandro (Matt Cedeño, "Days of Our Lives") can help jump-start her career, but Odessa (Melinda Paige Hamilton, "Mad Men"), his very loyal housekeeper and her boss, will stop at nothing to stand in her way. Zoila (Reyes) is the senior maid for Genevieve Delatour (Susan Lucci, "All My Children"), a codependent, emotionally unstable wealthy woman. She works alongside her teen daughter Valentina (Ganem), who has a crush on Genevieve's handsome son, Remi (Drew Van Acker, " Pretty Little Liars").

In the series premiere, the women turn to one another for support when their friend and fellow maid Flora (Paula Garces, "CSI Miami") is brutally murdered at the home of her employers, Evelyn and Adrian Powell (Rebecca Wisocky, "American Horror Story," and Tom Irwin, "Grey’s Anatomy"), at one of the largest society events of the year. Meanwhile, newcomer Marisol (Ortiz) is hired to clean the home of Taylor and Michael Stappord (Brianna Brown, "Homeland," and Brett Cullen, "Damages"), a newlywed couple with a complicated love history. But Marisol has ulterior motives and when someone she loves becomes wrapped up in Flora’s murder, she goes undercover to learn the truth.

Inspired by the hit telenovela, "Ellas son...la Alegría del Hogar," "Devious Maids" is produced by ABC Studios. The series was created by Marc Cherry ("Desperate Housewives") and is executive produced by Cherry, Sabrina Wind ("Desperate Housewives"), Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives"), Paul McGuigan ("Scandal"), Larry Shuman ("Kissing Miranda"), David Lonner, John Mass and Televisa USA’s Paul Presburger and Michael Garcia.
