Rihanna has announced that she is "really enjoying" filming her first feature film.

The singer was cast in the upcoming movie Battleship back in July. Based on the Hasbro board game, Battleship is the story of a naval force that defends Earth from an alien invasion.

"It's really good, really good," Rihanna told MTV. "I'm really enjoying it, actually. I like it."

The movie also features Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch, model Brooklyn Decker and True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård. The popstar spoke highly of all her co-stars, but stated that she is particularly impressed with Skarsgård.

"He's really cool, just laid back. He doesn't get in the way," Rihanna said. "[He's] not very talkative, but he's a really cool guy and that's [to] everybody - not just the cast."

Battleship is expected to hit theatres on May 25, 2012.

Christina Applegate has claimed that the main cast members of Anchorman are all desperate to star in a sequel.

Applegate's Anchorman co-stars Will Ferrell and Steve Carell have previously expressed their desire to return for a sequel.

Reynolds: 'Deadpool will be emotional filth'

Ryan Reynolds has compared his upcoming Deadpool movie to Mickey Rourke's film Barfly.

Reynolds told the Los Angeles Times that he is hoping to make the Marvel Comics project, about an unstable mercenary, "a nasty piece of work".

"It's just based in so much emotional filth, completely. It’s like Barfly if it were a superhero movie," he said, referring to the Charles Bukowski biopic.

"It sort of treads into the world of an emotionally damaged person. I always say that Deadpool is a guy in a highly militarised shame spiral."

The actor admitted that the movie represented a risk because it goes in a different direction to traditional superhero pictures.

"There’s a gamble to it: you’re going to lose a few people right at the beginning," he explained. "But you take the gamble and know that eventually you’re going to win them back. You gotta eat the nastyburger to get to the cookies!"

Sin City director Robert Rodriguez is rumoured to be circling the director's chair for Deadpool.

Renner: 'Joining M:I4 a dream come true'

Jeremy Renner has said that joining the cast of Mission: Impossible IV fulfills a lifelong dream.

The Hurt Locker actor told Access Hollywood that being able to work with the franchise's star Tom Cruise is a goal he has wanted to accomplish since childhood.

"It's great fun getting to run around with Tom and learn all these fantastic moves," he said. "It's like 14-year-old boys' dreams."

Renner noted that the idea of taking over as the action series's main star in the future intrigues him, but he is unsure if it will ever happen.

"That's obviously really exciting, but I don't know. I'd love for that to happen, but I can't talk about it - it's so far in the future."

He continued: "I'm going to do the task at hand, do the best I can and then on to the next. But the idea of it is fantastic."

Renner also acknowledged that one benefit of Mission: Impossible IV's physically demanding action sequences is that they will get him in shape for his next film The Avengers.

"Lucky enough, I get to do Mission: Impossible [IV] before [The Avengers] so I get to get in pretty decent shape. I'll still probably have to workout a bit to be superhero-esque and not the lazy couch potato that I feel like I am," he said.

Mission: Impossible IV will premiere in US cinemas in 2011.

Jones, Brolin for 'Men In Black 3'

Josh Brolin has confirmed that Tommy Lee Jones will return for Men In Black 3, despite previous reports suggesting that Brolin would take over the role of Agent K.

Last year, it was reported that the Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps actor would play a younger version of Jones's K, with a time-travelling element added to the story.

However, speaking to MTV, Brolin announced that he would play the character alongside Jones's portrayal.

He explained: "I don't know what the balance is yet. I'm not replacing Tommy, that I know. There's more suggestion going on than anything."

Joking about studying his No Country For Old Men co-star's previous performances, Brolin said: "I feel like I spend too much time with Tommy anyway.

"But now I'm looking at it from a different perspective. It's very, very interesting. As you can tell I get nervous talking about it because I'm not there yet and hopefully it'll be alright. I think it's going to be a lot of fun."

Jones's original co-star Will Smith is also due to appear in the film, which is slated for a 2012 release date.

Hamm has been linked to the Man of Steel role in Warner Bros's franchise reboot. However, the Mad Men actor claimed that rumours surrounding his potential casting are untrue.
