Brook: 'Lesbian scenes were difficult'

Kelly Brook has admitted that she found it "difficult" to film lesbian scenes for her new movie.

The model and TV presenter revealed that she had to kiss pornographic actress Riley Steele in Piranha 3D, reports The Sun.

Brook said: "It was really difficult. Holding your breath while making out with someone as hot as Riley Steele. I had to learn to hold my breath for a very long time."

The 30-year-old said that the pair had to have "a lot of practice" before filming the scene.

Riley added: "It's not work when you get to kiss Kelly Brook. She's so hot. Doing it underwater did make it a bit more difficult but I'm not complaining."

Brook previewed a clip of the scene at Comic-Con and told the audience: "It's a lot longer in the film. It goes on for quite a long time."

Zeta-Jones: 'Older women can get roles'

Catherine Zeta-Jones has claimed that middle-aged actresses can compete in Hollywood just as well as women half their age.

The Oscar winner admitted that she doesn't "feel" or "look" like a 40-year-old and will continue to search for meaty roles.

She told the Daily Mirror: "I'm out to prove 40-year-olds can do it just as well as 20-somethings ever did. I'm not going out to pasture. I'm going after the juicy roles and I intend to prove older women have just as much strength in Hollywood as young women and men.

"It's a natural progression. I'm going to play more mums than sex symbols. A lot of people talk about how hard it is to find good roles for older women but I, frankly, haven't found that. I've actually seen an influx of interesting and compelling roles that makes me confident that this over-40 myth in Hollywood is just that."

She added: "I'm 40 and although I don't think I feel or look it, there's a stigma attached to a woman's age. When you think of the box-office hits, they star the younger ingenues and that's the reality. As you get older, the roles become thinner or not so accessible. You have to take it into your own hands and look for the roles."

Zeta-Jones recently stated that she feels lucky to have been romanced by numerous male heartthrobs during her film career.

Darren Aronofsky's 'RoboCop' cancelled

The remake of the 1987 sci-fi RoboCop has been cancelled.

The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky was due to make the film.

The project was put on hold earlier this year due to financial problems at studio MGM.

According to Moviehole, the movie has now been scrapped altogether.

An insider told the website: "[RoboCop is] gone. Kaput. Cancelled. It was one of the first casualties. [Aronofsky] has lost interest anyway, I believe. [I] think we're all just going to have to be happy with the three RoboCop movies that are out there."

MGM was put up for sale in 2009 after falling into debt. The production of a number of films, including the next Bond instalment and The Hobbit, have been disrupted as a result.
