Tarantino looking to work with Lohan?

Quentin Tarantino is eager to work with Lindsay Lohan, according to claims.

The Inglourious Basterds director is reportedly interested in casting the troubled 23-year-old in an upcoming project, despite her stuttering career on the silver screen.

An insider is quoted by Absolute Now as saying: "Lindsay is just the kind of character Quentin loves.

"No-one expects her to do anything significant on film ever again but he has at least one role he feels she would be perfect for. It's a shocking, hardcore character but it will put her back on the map much as Quentin did for John Travolta."

Lohan's acting breakthrough came after her role in 1998 movie The Parent Trap. She has since appeared in a handful of cult teen films - most notably Mean Girls.

Lohan is currently lined up to star alongside Jessica Alba and Robert De Niro in forthcoming crime thriller Machete.

Producers eye Bell for Bond rival role?

Jamie Bell is apparently being eyed for a role as a rival agent in the next instalment of the James Bond franchise.

Daniel Craig wants producers to meet the Billy Elliot star after the pair worked together on last year's Defiance, according to The Sun.

In the plot the young rookie will be seen by M16 bosses as the natural sucessor to 007 (Craig). The new agent will apparently be given one of Bond's assignments in a deliberate attempt to create rivalry.

A source said: "The idea behind the character of a new double-0 agent is that he would be like a younger version of Bond. The scriptwriters hope a bit of competition between Bond and a new, sexy young spy who is keen to impress his bosses would be a great sub-plot in the movie.

"For the first time, Bond's position as golden boy of the double-0 agents is in danger, and this threat to his ego will bring out his ruthless streak. It would definitely be a great place to take the character."

The insider cautioned that the film is still in the early stages of development.

Carell: 'Wahlberg is intimidating on set'

Steve Carell has claimed that Mark Wahlberg "never touched clothing" while filming Date Night.

Wahlberg, who makes a shirtless cameo appearance in the new comedy, was said to have been "intimidating" on set.

Carell told MTV: "Mark Wahlberg rules the roost. Was it intimidating? Yeah, he is. That's just a physique to be reckoned with, and he never put on a shirt. He didn't. In the four days, five days he shot, never touched clothing, partly because he had body make-up on."

While Carell expressed amazement at Wahlberg's toned physique, co-star Tina Fey insisted that she wasn't so impressed because she looks similar without clothes.

Fey said: "It's actually kind of what I look like shirtless. I'm small breasted and they're high, and my lats are unbelievable.

"But Mark Wahlberg is very funny in the movie, and it's a disservice to only speak of his lats and nips."
