Mark Millar says no to 'X-Men 4'?

Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar has said that he turned down an offer to work on X-Men 4.

The comic writer posted the news on his official site on Sunday. He revealed that studio Fox had “offered” him X-Men 4, but he decided not to join the project.

It is assumed that Millar is referring to X-Men: First Class, being developed by the studio and producer Bryan Singer.

It is unknown what role Millar was offered on the project. The film is apparently looking for a director, but Millar’s Hollywood experience is limited to screenwriting and producing.

The 40 year old said that he would rather focus on creating original characters and stories than working on established franchises.

"I want to create the next generation of superheroes over the next few years and going back would, I think, be a mistake," he posted on his website.

Matthew Vaughn recently denied rumors that he and Millar had been jointly considered for a leading role in the relaunch of DC's Superman film franchise.

'Harry Potter' films to get 3D re-release?

Harry Potter producer David Heyman has revealed that all the movies in the wizard franchise could get a 3D re-release.

Speaking to MTV, Heyman claimed that it is "just a matter of time" before studio Warner Bros brings all the fantasy films to the 3D format.

"Those discussions haven't yet happened, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time," Heyman said regarding Potter in 3D. "You know what? I actually shouldn't say that. Who knows? It would be great. You can never tell. I hope so."

The two-part Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows adaptation will be screened in 3D, however Heyman admitted that the conversion process hasn't started yet.

"Frankly, we are still in the process of discussing methodology," he noted. "We have quite a lot of time to work and hone and hopefully perfect each and every sequence. We are not on a compressed schedule. This is something that was built in very early on, and we think we will achieve the very best quality we can."

Though Heyman insisted that the 3D decision "emerged organically" he confessed that the popularity of recent releases in the format influenced the choice.

"Absolutely the success of Up and Avatar made the economics make sense, and also the quality of some of the work Warner was doing with post 3D made it feel like something that would augment the film rather than diminish it," he added.

Brosnan 'knew Damon was better spy'

Pierce Brosnan has admitted that he knew he would be fired as James Bond when The Bourne Identity topped the US box office.

According to WENN, the actor also spent a night drinking with Quentin Tarantino to discuss how to bring Casino Royale to the big screen.

"That wasn't meant to be. But we (Brosnan and Tarantino) had a great night. I could hardly walk. I had to call a driver up because I could just about put one foot in front of the other. He walked out of the door and then got into his pussymobile and drove away. He's a champion lad, Quentin... Yeah, it wasn't meant to be for him, or for me," he said.

"Once Paul Greengrass let Matt Damon out of the door in such an epic way, the spy genre turned on its head and my time was done. Because then you have a younger man there, and how are you going to move forward?"

Brosnan added: "And they (Bond bosses) couldn't. If they were to do Casino Royale, they couldn't do it with me. Choices were made. The decisions were drawn in the sand - albeit a little late in the day."
