Smallville Season 7-10 General Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Episode 7

This is what Smallville should have been doing seasons ago. This is the kind of stuff that fans of the show and of Superman want to see. Clark embracing his role as a hero. Just as other episodes this season have been showing Clark becoming the kind of person he is as Superman, this episode does it too. I LOVED the scene after Oliver, pretending to be the mysterious hero, saved Jimmy and Clark turned around and saw all the people admiring the hero above them. It was a major turning point for Clark, as a character, because he now sees that he can give people hope by being a hero. And that's what Superman is all about. It was good to have Lois back, after being absent from last week's episode. They were even able to throw in some great banter between her and Clark. Plus some more inklings of Lois's real feelings toward Clark were alluded to when Lois's reaction to Clark zipping up her dress was shown.

i completely agree this was good episode i love how Clark realise but Chole really proved that she willing to protect Clark secret by what she did at end of this episode, this is the first time she has killed a person on the show i think turn point in chole life i don't if she going continue on this road.

Smallville is dead.........long live Smallville!

Yup, this is the episode that many of us have been waiting for methinks.........it was worrying for a while that the new format was taking too long to engage me. This last episode has renewed my faith however, things certainly look interesting again.

At last I'm feeling it !

(just one little gripe.......I wish they would have invested in a larger set for Metropolis,,,, that corner outside the ISIS centre is getting a tad 'old' already dont ya think?)

Smallville 8x08

This was a great episode Kara back i was sure she was going die in the phantom zone but than she grabbed Clark hand  but what was more interesting was davis black -out now we know what the origin of doomsday is. Lois was brillant or actress that played her was really nice to see her play different character on the show. the clif-hanger davis can't get hurt i love the line 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'-this was taken literally in the last seconds of the episode

Episode 8

Ok this was a brilliant episode, was nice to see Kara again, I have to say Chloe's powers are awesome, overall a great episode to watch

Didnt she do well.

Great episode.
Erica Durance certainly did do a good job, she didn't over ham the part once ( which is always tempting playing a baddie).  The storyline seems to be flowing at last with this weeks show leading into a seamless set-up for next week. The new series in general does really seem to have found its pace...

Tom is looking rather scrummy during his days in the Planet this series. the black shirt n trouser combo rocks
(big sigh.....swoon)

So, episode 8 was awesome. My husband was actually totally interested and he honestly isn't a big Superman/Smallville fan. He is more of the Batman type but he was stuck on the past few episodes. This season so far has been one of the best. My husband, lol , is actually looking forward to the next episode. I LOVE IT!!!!
And so, the lion fell in love with the lamb!

To reiterate Cathys comments Koodos with the conversion, I've been trying to convert the wife for a fair few years now and it ain't happening
Episode 8 is my favorite episode so far this season, back to action which I like. Kara been in it helped alot too
Is it me or when Lex was took over by Zod he still had a few memories of what happened but Lois has none?? Ending was great and opens up a whole new story line, can't wait to see how it pans out
Glad Jimmy was not in it he's just been annoying lately....

The quote actually was "That which kills you makes you stronger" I think which is even more scary. Hows Clark going to beat that. If any of you read the comics you will know how bad ass Doomsday is..

Wow another great episode chole strong episode , i love the flashback of when she met Clark when there were younger, it interesting to see how innocent she was , now question is was Clark right to ask Jor-el wipe her memory of clark's powers?.

Anyway the ending was best in smallville history brainic is going take over Jor-El.

Jor-El: My son?
Brainiac: Your son is destined to fail. Soon a new age will dawn on Earth, an age of power and strength… and the fall of the House of El. Doomsday is coming

Doomsday is starting to become interesting i can't wait until he attacks clark and i love the fact this was the first time Clark actually respected his father in a good way and he help him. i love speech about how much he has grown.

Episode 9

All I can is oh my god! Davis is no more--it is doomsday. I'm kind of glad that Chloe doesn't know Clark's secret anymore because she wasn't one of the original characters in the comics to know Clark's secret and too many people knew his secret already so I'm glad she doesn't know anymore. But next week looks even more promising. Clark and Lois almost kisses, Doomsday is on the prowl for Chloe, Lana returns and it sounds like it's going to be a really great episode. Smallville keeps getting better this season.

I agree smallville just keeps getting better!

Wasn't Chole not even in the comics?  I don't really know them, but i was pretty sure her character was just written for the show.  I have mixed feelings on her not knowing Clark's secret.  On the one hand it is better for her, but on the other, now Clark has no one close to him who knows (well until Lois...I wonder how much longer we have to wait until that).

Chloe has gotten really annoying- in my mind she is taking over Lana's annoying position. I like the Lois & Clark dynamic in this series much better than most of the others they have tried. I do believe that this season has been the best so far- Clark is growing up.

yeah it really is good but I'm surprised that it got better when  executive producer left this season and writer were left to their own devices
