HARRY opens on a melancholy DS Harry Anglesea who arrives back in Auckland from bereavement leave in Samoa to try and solve a brutal and pointless homicide committed by a young Samoan high on " P" - a drug currently infesting the city streets.

Harry's return comes with a 'mask of denial': he is emotionally blocked by his wife Sina's unexpected death and hasn't a clue how to properly deal with it - or with his grieving teenage daughter, Mele, who needs his affection more than ever and misguidedly sees her father as "the cavalry coming to the rescue".

Despite insisting to the world that all is well, Sina's death takes such a toll on Harry (pain, grief, guilt) it forces him into a downwards spiral of drinking, sleepless nights and ever-increasing anger – an anger which will threaten the closest relationships around him.

What an ass killing the cashier after he gave the armed robber the money and all because he looked at him but to be honest where would you look if you had a shotgun pointed at you

How embarrassing for the police to allow the suspect to take their car but the suspect dropping his phone was a small recompense and after that beating there was no way he would testify in court but hanging himself was sad as he promised his family to keep him safe

Killing the dog after the beating they gave their dad and in front of the child was diabolical and raping the wife / mother while her daughter was in her own room because the husband owed him money was barbaric and I hope he dies soon

Harry getting involved in the scuffle couldn't of happened at a worse time but as the bloke did take a swing for him putting his head through a glass door would of been painful and what a moron taping his nose and mouth after beating him up

Harry making time check up on his daughter was great considering she blames his work for never being around but sad to think her mother suicide note was left for her to tell her dad

Moss getting shot after Harry told them to stop the suspect motor was sad but his partner was quick to respond and Harry's daughter going missing after the row only mad things worse as he was also being investigated after his brawl
