About the Show:
A weekly live comedy and current affairs show hosted by David Mitchell, Jimmy Carr, Charlie Brooker and Lauren Laverne

Each week the hosts present an intelligent, informative - and more importantly - funny take on the world of current affairs through a mix of debates, interviews, topical comedy, investigations and opinion pieces.

The presenting team are joined by the finest and sharpest minds from comedy, politics, science and culture, with the show airing live in front of a studio audience.

Season 1



Episode 1:
David Mitchell gets his teeth into the banker debate with former Goldman Sachs partner, Richard Sharp; Head of Research, High Pay Commission, Zoe Gannon and former investment banker, Conservative MP, Kwasi Kwarteng.

Jimmy Carr interviews environmentalist and author Professor Bjorn Lomborg about his plans to tackle global warming, and David Willetts, MP Minister for Universities and Science, gives his opinion on the tuition fees dispute.

Episode 2:
Guests include Tony Blair's former communications chief Alastair Campbell; economist, journalist and author of The Undercover Economist, Tim Harford and The Guardian's legal affairs correspondent, Afua Hirsch.

Episode 3:
Guests include Space scientist Dr Lucie Green; leader of the Green Party Caroline Lucas, journalist Harry Cole; BT's former Chairman Christopher Bland; and Hannah Lownsbrough from grassroots campaign group 38 Degrees.

Episode 4:
David Mitchell interviews deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats, Simon Hughes MP, and hosts a debate on the Big Society. Joining him in the Big Society debate are Conservative politician Shaun Bailey, Big Society architect Phillip Blond and journalist Johann Hari.

Episode 5:
Freakonomics co-author Stephen J Dubner is interviewed by Jimmy Carr and Lauren Laverne. David Mitchell hosts a debate on protests with Save England's Forests campaign founder Tamsin Omond, journalist and Jilted Generation co-author Ed Howker, and student and Telegraph columnist Milo Yiannopoulos.

Labour activist Sally Bercow is also on the show, along with Conservative politician Steven Norris.

Episode 6:
This episode includes David Mitchell interviewing trade union leader Bob Crow, General Secretary of the RMT.

War on Want's Yasmin Kahn, the Daily Telegraph's Alex Singleton and the Conservative Party's Dominic Raab MP discuss whether our elected representatives should act in our commercial interests or the world's ethical ones.

Episode 7:
In the seventh show David Mitchell hosts a debate on race and immigration with Gordon Brown's former advisor, Deborah Mattinson, political editor of the New Statesman, Medhi Hasan and Conservative politician, Shaun Bailey. He also interviews Lord Robert Winston and Dr Dan Poulter MP regarding NHS reforms.

Episode 8:
This episode includes David Mitchell interviewing Andy Burnham MP, Labour's Shadow Education Secretary. Total Politics' Shane Greer, Tansy Hoskins from Stop the War and Rory Stewart MP discuss whether we should intervene in Libya.

Episode 9:
David Mitchell interviews UKIP leader Nigel Farage MEP and hosts a debate on business in government. Joining the debate will be food journalist and author of Swindled: From Poison Sweets to Counterfeit Coffee, Bee Wilson; Director General of Institute of Economic Affairs, Mark Littlewood and CEO of Association of Convenience Stores, James Lowman.

Episode 10:
This week includes the Minister of State for Housing and Local Government, Grant Shapps MP; War on Want campaigner Yasmin Khan; former British diplomat Carne Ross and Majid Nawaz, co-founder of the Quilliam Foundation.

Episode 11:
In this show, David Mitchell interviews former London Mayor and current Labour Mayoral Candidate - Ken Livingstone.

Episode 12:
David Mitchell hosts a lively discussion about phone hacking with former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and ex-tabloid hack and ex-phone hacker, Paul McMullan.

The debate is on social mobility, with guests Johann Hari, The Independent, Shane Greer, editor of Total Politics, and Jo Rice, co-founder of youth charity Spear.

Episode 13:
In this show David Mitchell interviews the former Labour Culture Secretary, Tessa Jowell and other guests include financial journalist, Max Keiser and former Goldman Sachs partner, Richard Sharp.

Episode 14:
As usual, hosts David Mitchell, Jimmy Carr, Charlie Brooker and Lauren Laverne present an intelligent, informative and - most importantly - funny take on the world of current affairs, via a mix of debates, interviews, topical comedy, investigations and opinion pieces.

Season 2



Episode 1:
Hosts David Mitchell, Jimmy Carr, Charlie Brooker and Lauren Laverne - shine an uncomfortably bright light on current events bringing a witty, informative and wry take on the world of current affairs.

The show is an ever-changing mixture of topical comedy, satire, sketches, and round table discussions designed to get the audience debating and questioning what's really happening in the world around us.

Broadcast live each week, the show always includes a range of studio guests, from politicians to cultural commentators and other experts.

In the first show guests include Alastair Campbell and chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association, Clark Carlisle, who join David Mitchell for a debate about football.

Highlights from the first series include being the first show to announce Alan Johnston's resignation, John Prescott taking on self-confessed phone hacker Paul McMullan and Lauren Laverne breaking the news of the UN's commitment to a No Fly Zone in Libya.

10 O'Clock Live is set to be provocative, clever and, most of all, funny.

Guests include Dr Dawn Harper, GP Embarrassing Bodies, Morgan Spurlock, director of Super Size Me and comedian and presenter, Amy Lame who discuss whether the government has any right to try and persuade us to be healthy in view of the incredible strain on the NHS - or should the Nanny state keep its nose out of our business?
