Maddie and Ben have been dating for nine years. They know each other inside and out, a relationship marked by contentment and affection, seeing their commitment to one another as a "valid life choice," something they proclaim often—and often loudly. Maddie's younger sister, Mia, has been dating Casey for seven weeks. With a shared c'est la vie attitude, Mia and Casey are smitten with each other, and thrilled to explore the oh-so-many things they don't know about each other yet. But when they announce they're getting married and having a baby, it's news that throws Maddie for a loop. Surprisingly, the girls' parents, Vicky and Joel, couldn't be more pleased. Married 35 years, they have recently adopted a carpe diem sort of philosophy, rather like Mia's, maybe because they're getting older and lost a good portion of their savings when the economy tanked. With three very different relationships tightly intertwined in one family, will it be free thinkers vs. over-thinkers, or will each couple begin to see things a little bit differently?

Great first episode but finding out why they were getting married was awful timing at the dinner.

That was bad timing but making fun of Maddie was funny and the start and end and the way they all communicate differently

The point of all that was to show how couple who been together longer are different people who only know each other 7 weeks.

The firehouse was strange place to buy but what his vision for it was great

I like the way Maddie manipulated the situation to make sure Mia and Jake got the fire house but after his vision which was great Maddie had second thoughts

She's a great character as big sister

Close To Home is the only other show i can remember seeing her in but she does play the big sister great

A christmas card episode was great but finding out why Maddie boyfriend wasn't included was great

Ben not included in the photo because he's not married and Casey was considering he's only been going out with Mia for 9 weeks but she's having his baby

I liked Ben's recollection of Mia's temper if someone does her crossword was funny but Casey getting naked to resolve the argument was great and what was Maddie thinking when she got naked in the restaurant to resolve her argument

Poor Mia been denied her romantic activities because Casey thinks it will harm their unborn baby and Ben trying to get off Vicky's e-mail list was funny

Getting off vicky E-mail list was very difficult but i can't believe she actually decided act out all the things in the list

Ben not knowing what Maddie wanted as a present but getting jewellery was really his best option.

Mia and Maddie watching the mysterious videotape found among Casey's things was funny considering what they thought might be on it but Ben not knowing what Maddie wanted considering she apparently told him six times was crazy

The mothers arguing about what they wanted to be called and where the baby was going to be born was amusing

Glad she won't be giving birth in a barn but it would made for an interesting episode don't you think ?
