About The Show:
RUSH is an action drama series set in a critical incident response police unit. They are trained to be smarter, tactically superior and technologically advantaged - Melbourne's take on a cutting edge trend in policing worldwide.

Rush is an insider’s view of police under pressure – defusing crises, saving lives, preventing crime rather than catching the bad guys after the deed is done.

Rush gives us a close look at a recent phenomenon in modern policing: the development of the highly trained elite police
units with the capacity to respond to a crisis imaginatively and almost immediately. Enter the Tactical Response team.

Tactical Response (TR) is a bunch of exhaustively-trained young cops, on 24-hour mobile duty, who can respond immediately to a crisis, bringing negotiating skills, lateral thinking, less lethal weaponry and a fresh attitude to both crime and civil disorder. Their brief is to strive for a fast and specifically non-lethal resolution to an incident. They get to the scene first and hopefully they resolve problems without shooting people.

They are always on the road, patrolling, keeping in contact, always ready to respond to the whiff of a crisis. A bank robbery, a hostage situation, a sniper, a desperate escapee on the loose, a threatened suicide, a missing person, a bomb threat, a visiting overseas dignitary under threat – these situations need more sophistication and intelligence, backed up by a ‘war room’ at the cutting edge of technology. The type of critical incident that is faced by TR needs lateral thinking – a creative approach by hi-tech people with the capacity to see beyond the immediate situation.

1. Rage
After rescuing two children, Josh's rage spills onto their father,who may have attempted to kill them. The new inspector challenges Josh's position on the team.

2. It Never Gets Easier
Lawson and Grace try to talk-down a troubled teenager when she threatens suicide, trapped on a rooftop with her young boyfriend. She was later found to have killed her boyfriend's father. Grace's inexperience is quickly revealed when she tries to fix the situation, which ends in the young woman's tragic death.

3. Armed and Dangerous
The TRG is called out to a sports oval where a heavily-armed gunman shoots Stella, who is saved by her kevlar vest. When the gunman requests to meet with a senior officer, Lawson approaches him and finds he was actually a former weapons-master who intends on suicide-by-cop. The situation ends when, after trying to avoid shooting the man, Lawson is forced to shoot and kill the man when he pulls a handgun on him.

4. High Stakes
A criminal in custody escapes from the prison van he is being tranported in, and makes an audacious break for freedom. In doing so, he assaults Grace and takes a woman hostage. He then forces Josh to drive him around town before playing a little Russian Roulette. However, Josh is saved and the criminal is arrested.

5. Easy Money
When the TR team intercepts a known drug dealer, they discover that a robbery is about to take place, which then turns into a siege when the robbers take hostages. One of the criminals falls into a basement beneath the bar and later dies. Dom goes in to try to convince the robbers to stop, but the owner of the bar is shot by a spear gun. Eventually, one of the criminals gives up while the other is arrested.

6. Freedom
Josh, Grace and Michael investigate when an alarm is going off at a high-security laboratory. They find that an animal rights activists group calling themselves 'Freedom From Torture' has freed almost all of the research animals from their cages. Michael is bitten by a monkey who is later found to have herpes.

7. Stolen
Michael is found cleared of the herpes. The team arrives at a big suburban party and find a group of teenagers have stolen a gun from a security guard. Stella and Michael then go undercover to try and retrieve the stolen weapon. Michael then saves a high school boy from being severely beaten by kids from a rival high school.

8. Just Politics
When a politician’s daughter and her school friend are kidnapped, the team is asked to run a covert operation to get the girls back safely. After it goes wrong, the team discovers the daughter and her friend set the ransom up, before they need to be saved from a lying con-artist.

9. Speed Limit
Lawson is a part of a high speed chase involving a group of carjackers, Kerry is pulled over for drunk driving, and Josh, Grace and Michael are involved in a fatal car accident.

10. Conspiracy
TR is called to a media centre, where a man has locked himself in a room and has planted a number of paint bombs throughout the building.Micheal is hit, but not injured. Dom discovers where the bombs reallyare, and him and grace are both hospitalised after the explosions.

11. Waking up
Lawson and Stella deal with a suicidal ex-footballer, Michael and Josh chase burglars through a series of complex tunnels, and Kerry is kept busy at the hospital where Dom and Grace are recovering. Grace unfortunately dies abruptly, while Connor confronts Josh after Grace revealed to him she was cheating on him with Josh.

12. High Ground
After a nasty domestic dispute, the TR team are called to look fora man, who has hospitalised his wife after an argument. The team reveals he has a gun, as well as his son. Lawson has the job of calling him down from a rooftop.

13. Public Enemy
TR is given the responsibility of protecting an underworld figure,who is testifying in court. A decoy is used, with an actor playing the man, but it goes downhill after the actor is shot dead. Several more attempts were made, and Kerry comes up with a unique way of protecting the man. Josh takes the man by himself, but is later cornered by the people trying to kill the underworld figure. As they leave, TR shows up and the men are arrested. The episode ends with Micheal kissing Stella as she sleeps, and Kerry and Lawson having a conversation about the report on TR that Kerry wrote.

When a container of illegal weapons is broken into, TR races to save the life a security guard and attempt to find the men responsible.

2. Episode 2
A group of students enter a drug smuggling ring. Lawson puts everything at risk. Leon and his girlfriend talk, while Shannon doesn't hit it off with Josh as expected.

3. Episode 3
Lawson finds a young boy involved in a domestic violence situation. Michael becomes a hero and Shannon deals with a prostitute.

4. Episode 4
An escalating hostage situation causes a lot of trouble for Shannon and Lawson has to deal with media people.

5. Episode 5
Two team members are caught in a prison siege. Lawson is forced to save his team. Kerry has to deal with an accident.

6. Episode 6
A disturbance call at Federation Square gets the team on the tracks of several robberies.

7. Episode 7
Parking Pay stations are blown up one after another. Michael can't control his temper when he's supposed to control a group of protesters.

8. Episode 8
A man has been shot and a child abducted, but then nothing appears like it appears. Meanwhile Kerry has trouble of her own.

9. Episode 9
Stella participates in an illegal car race. Kerry is being investigated. Dominic has a brilliant idea.

10. Episode 10
Michael violates all protocols again. Under pressure he tries to get closer to Stella.

11. Episode 11
Tactical Response hunts a terrorist group. Lawson has a personal project on the side.

12. Episode 12
A case of abduction keeps Lawson busy. A suicidal person keeps the team busy as well.

13. Episode 13
Shannon is attacked in a cab which brings the team on the lead of a serial offender. The personal life of several members cause issues.

14. Episode 14
Lawson makes a shocking discovery. Tactical Response has to save an undercover agent. Lawson and Shannon need to talk about their problems.

15. Episode 15
Lawson, Shannon and Stella try to secure a college campus. Dom and Michael deal with an armed robbery and Josh is suspended.

16. Episode 16
Stella ends up in a dangerous spot. Josh and Shannon try to stop a robbery. Michael has a special task.

17. Episode 17
Michael and Josh fight with each other. A murder has to be stopped. Lawson and Jacinta talk about their relationship.

18. Episode 18
Lawson and Josh clash. Josh tires to help a fugitive and Lawson tries to stop a couple from killing themselves.

Lawson is on a private mission. Dominic finds himself in a horrible situation with his wife and baby.

3x01: Don't Attack A Helicopter
An attack on a police helicopter and a series of car bombings appear to be unrelated events until it emerges that they form part of an elaborate attempt to rob a cash-holding facility.

3x02: Don't Shoot Your Sniper
Tactical Response risk their lives to save the injured and find the shooter. But they are up against an offender they know little about and a motivation they can't possibly understand. Shannon braces herself for the ultimate test to her character as she faces off against the shooter.

3x03: Don't Import Things You Shouldn't
As Lawson's growing obsession with the robbery crew threatens to pull Tactival Response apart, Josh shows his leadership as TR2 assist Drug Squad with the arrest of a drug importer. But things aren't as simple as they first seem when TR discover the offender's niece has been kidnapped and held to ransom. Josh must race to save the girl, in the process meeting her mother, Tash, who will change everything.

3x04: Don't Meet With A Gang
Tactical Response score a lead when an ordinary civilian unwittingly implicates himself with Andrew Kronin's gang. As Lawson pushes the man to get to Kronin, Dom takes umbrage. Dom snaps, turning his gun on TR1 and flees. As TR2 track down Dom, Lawson exults when he recovers a substantial amount of the heist money.

3x05: Don't Attack The Prime Minister
Christian is excited to be protecting one of his favorite childhood Idol's whilst he is on a visit to Australia. However he and the teams become concerned after it becomes obvious the prime-minister is being targeted by an assassin, and Dom is rejected by Lawson after he requests his job back.

3x06: Don't Get Married Escaping From The Cops
The team chase down a young volatile couple who's business has just been liquidated and who are intent on getting married before the man is sentenced. Elsewhere, Stella tries to reason with the owner of a bar with ethnic issues and Josh receives a cry of help from Minka, Tash's daughter, which rekindles Josh's interest in Tash.

3x07: Don't Show Him Your Badge
In trying to get more information on Kronin's gang Michael enters the world of underground boxing but ends up being identified as TR and inadvertently putting his life in danger. Meanwhile, as the team track Kronin's gang to a warehouse Shannon ends up saving Kronin's life when he is nearly attacked by a vengeful ex-associate and she ends up being kidnapped by Kronin. Elsewhere, Michael takes the plunge and asks Audrey out for a drink.

3x08: Don't Board A Runaway Train
Josh and Lawson board a suburban runaway passenger/freight train to try and stop it before it crashes into other city bound trains. On the train they find the passengers gassed and a crude bomb device barring their way to the train driver. After disarming the device they find the train driver dead and a freight carriage missing. Leon finds that a thermal device is missing from the manifest and Lawson knows that Kronin is behind the train hijack and vows to bring him and his compound to heel much to Kerry's disgust.

3x09: Don't Cook Meth
A former drug user helps Tactical Response arrest a gang, however an hostage situation breakouts after the former drug users boyfriend breaks up with him, meanwhile, Kerry discovers her son James, has a drug problem. Meanwhile, Josh is injured when being pursued by a hired assassin.

3x10: Don't Steal An Airplane With No Fuel
On Shannon's first day as a Sergeant, her confidence is hurt after a juvenile delinquent steals the TR02 vehicle, however while pursing the criminal, she discovers he is easily avoidable. Tragedy strikes and Stella discovers she's pregnant.

3x11: Don't let Her That Close With a Knife
The team pull over a speeding car to discover that the driver has had his penis severed and his enraged partner has gone on the run and so they must negotiate with her for the safe return before time runs out where it is no longer viable. Elsewhere, Audrey finds out that Michael slept with Stella just after he finds out that she had a miscarriage. Meanwhile, Lawson discovers Kerry at a drug supply house scoring drugs for her son.

3x12: Don't Get Trapped in the Lift
A Cyber hacker manages to take down communications, businesses and banks across the city, bringing Josh and Tash together as they race against time to save the life of a badly injured woman. As the attack becomes more lethal, Leon and Audrey put their wits together to stop the faceless hacker.

3x13: Episode 13
Lawson's nemesis Andrew Kronin escapes from a police van on his way to court & the TR team take off in hot pursuit but Michael finds the ordeal tough. Meanwhile, Shannon gets ribbed for lack of a sex life.

3x13: Episode 14
A militant Afghani asylum seekers group take control of a centre which includes the son of the Minister for Immigration.

3x13: Episode 15
Most of the members of TR go to the bush for a routine training exercise. Unknown to Lawson and Josh however, they soon find themselves at the mercy of Oliver Ginsberg, who has rigged the forest with deadly traps. When they discover that Ginsberg is on his way back to the city with a van full of explosives, they realize the worst is yet to come.

3x13: Episode 16
TR heads back to the city in search of Oliver Ginsberg and to find the bomb before he detonates it. Lawson is surprised to find that his former colleague Dom is now with the bomb squad and has to work side by side with him as an erratic Ginsberg threatens to blow the headquarters of the insurance company who sued him years previously.

3x17: Don't Get Treatment
TR1 give their unique farewell to Dom but Lawson doesn't participate until Stella sets him straight. Kerry's son James goes on the run after he double-crosses drug-runners bringing smack in from Vietnam and it is up to Kerry and TR1 to find him before the drug-runners do. Meanwhile, Shannon and Michael buy a house together and Leon and Audrey bond over a Russian pen-pal correspondence.

3x18: Episode 18
TR1 get involved in an intervention order as they take away the baby of teenager Elizabeth Heinz. But her vengeful and dangerous brothers take matters into their own hands and launch an attack against TR1 killing a young constable and endangering Audrey and Leon's lives back at base. Meanwhile, Audrey begins to see that Michael isn't the one for her and gives Leon a second chance.

3x19: Episode 19
Christian is taken hostage at an army barracks during a siege after he, Lawson and Shannon bring back to MP's after a street brawl. Audrey asks Michael for a reference as she has applied for the Churchill Foundation to go abroad to study with the FBI.

3x20: Episode 20
T.R. reluctantly team up with a covert security team to track the whereabouts of a wealthy Chinese businessman and Lawson becomes jealous when the team leader of the unit tries to woo Shannon away from T.R. and join his team. Finally, back at Shannon & Michael's investment property, Shannon and Lawson succumb to their mutual passion unknown to them that Michael has recording equipment in place to trap any burglars. Elsewhere, Audrey hears that she hasn't got on the Churchhill Fellowship and is very disappointed.

3x21: Episode 21
Josh's proposal to Tash is interrupted when ESD storm Tash's house and arrest him. Facing charges of corruption, Josh realises that his arrest is closely linked to the earlier attempt on his life, as he strives to clear his name once and for all.

3x22: Episode 22
TR fall into the clutches of darkness as they chase a murderer across a desolate island. As they attempt to restore order, one of their own becomes victim to the island's mysterious power.

Episode 1:
The assassination of the Police Minister and a war brewing on the docks throws Tactical Response into the centre of a major new taskforce investigation. How will Lawson and the team react to new boss, Charlie Lewis?

Episode 2:
Shannon keeps a shocking secret from Lawson and the team during an assignment to protect a woman.

Episode 3:
Shannon reels from the consequences of allowing Lexi, the pregnant girlfriend of a hit man, to escape from an operation that would put Tactical Response in touch with those responsible for killing the police minister. Kerry comes down hard on Shannon, putting her TR future at risk. At her superior's insistence, she's forced to attend a counselling session where she must confront a buried pain that could push her away from Lawson forever. When TR finally catch up with Lexi, they convince her to go through with the meeting but a heartbreaking ending leaves Shannon more distraught than ever.

Episode 4:
Conflicting agendas in the team bring simmering tensions to the boil with best mates Lawson and Josh up against new boss Charlie and their superior Kerry. Lawson and Josh stir up trouble in a local restaurant with a provocative assault on some Marauder bikies only to have it come back to bite them when the same bikies become persons of interest in an ongoing case. Lawson and Charlie's lack of communication threatens to ruin their respective investigations unless they can find a way of bringing down the culprits. Meanwhile, Stella helps save a journalist whose investigative reporting has put her life in danger.

Episode 5:
Tactical Response takes charge of Kerry's protection when she receives a death threat. Headstrong, Kerry is dismissive of her own safety but when the threats are redirected to her son, her anger at the perpetrators can't be contained. Despite her attempts to hide her son, they still manage to track him down. Meanwhile, Stella gets personally involved in a murder investigation, risking her job and life to track down the suspect. The two cases converge when it becomes clear that the same man is behind both threats.

Episode 6:
Michael has been a busy man since being fired from Tactical Response. Thanks to the squad's head honcho Kerry he's now undercover, and his job is to bring down the Raineys, a family team of cocaine importers. He sets up a buy-bust meeting in order to bring the Raineys down and coaxes Josh into becoming his wingman. The trade-off location changes at the last minute and whilst TR catches some of those responsible. Col Rainey has taken Michael and gone underground. Has his desire to prove himself to everyone put his life in serious danger? Meanwhile, Shannon finds herself face-to-face with her attacker.

Episode 7:
Tactical Response goes into overdrive as they desperately try and to locate Michael after his undercover buy-bust goes horribly wrong. Josh starts to crumble under the guilt of letting Michael get away while Stella is furious, realising her best friend, and once lover, may not come back alive. It's a race against time as Kerry fights political red tape and the remaining members of Tactical Response do anything they can to get one of their team back safely.

Episode 8:
Senior Constable Michael Sandrelli remains in intensive care whilst Tactical Response are left to pick up the pieces and endeavor to find those responsible. Stella goes on a drinking binge trying to mask her grief. Josh struggles even more with his guilt, punishing himself for not saving Michael in time, and Shannon lets her emotional guard down, even suggesting to Lawson that they get married.

Episode 9:
A tragedy within the ranks of Tactical Response brings Shannon and Lawson, closer together. Stella can barely build up strength to face the day, and Christian appreciates a comforting presence from Amber. Josh, feeling responsible and immense guilt from what has happened, goes underground, deliberately avoiding contact from anyone at TR. Those left are forced to concentrate on the job at hand — bringing down drug and weapon importers, the Rainey family. After sparing their lives, Doug Rainey tips Lawson off to a bomb-making site where TR find even more bad news, Josh's burnt out car.

Episode 10:
Lawson's world is crumbling. Along with having to deal with the death of a team member, he is now faced with the fact Josh is missing, presumed dead. To make matters worse, his grief causes him to make a serious judgment error that could destroy the one good thing left in his life: his relationship with Shannon. The error in judgment comes in the form of Josh's girlfriend, Tash. The team pull out all the stops in their pursuit of the man they believe is responsible for Michael's death and Josh's disappearance. But the closer they get to him, the quicker he slips away from them, leaving Lawson to, literally, cross the line in order to catch him.

Episode 11:
Ridden by the guilt of letting a fellow Tactical Response member die on his watch, Josh has gone underground, working to his own agenda and leaving the task force to pick up the pieces.

Episode 12:
Lawson and Tactical Response are on the trail of the 'Cuckoo', a Russian fugitive planning to unleash terrorist-like chaos across the Melbourne cityscape. However, the team quickly find themselves up against a carefully planned maneuver as the tables are turned and those on trial hold Tactical Response hostage trying to escape from military courtroom. Also, things get a little romantic for Shannon and Lawson.

Episode 13: [Series Finale]
As the bomb squad work to defuse a bomb, the team are tasked to fly to Fiji to extradite a South Korean National back to Australia. Shannon also responds to Lawson's marriage proposal.. sort of.
