Louisa Atherton (Kerry Armstrong) is 49-years-old and to date has lived a privileged and superficial life. When her wealthy husband Jack drops dead in the arms of another woman, Louisa thinks things can't get worse - until she discovers that he's left her bankrupt. Louisa is forced to go back to her tiny home town, Rainbow's End, with her tail between her legs. As she re-negotiates her relationships with her prickly mother Minna (Julia Blake) and recalcitrant kids, she learns to understand herself for the first time in her life. Louisa also comes to realise that her small town's history will play a vital role in her future.

So you are actually start this i am still middle packed to Rafter because that a big show .

The first episode wasn't bad a bit slow in places but i suppose you have to give it time

That show i just finished is one of those shows that gets you hooked and there seems to be a lot of good show from Australia at the moment

if they spends spend loads of money on US shows like CSI, the mentalist

I don't see why ch5 need buy home & away and neighbour surely cheaper buy on some other Australia drama ?.

I liked the local folklore of the one-time home of Mary Kelly, widow of a gold miner, who was murdered in her bed by thieves searching for the legendary gold nugget said to be buried on the property which is now owned by Louisa

Holly's first day of school was a bit of a disaster after she inadvertently incurring the wrath of her new school mates but taking her dad's ashes into her backpack to school for comfort is sad and Louisa various jobs aren't going very well

The builder Marty who is renovating Louisa's shack is a real character and with her giving her son some money the guys have stopped building not that you could tell they had even started

Holly demanding that Louisa sack Marty because she had possum piss in her hair was funny even Louisa was laughing until it did it her painting and Marg finally opens up to Louisa about her 14-year-old son Jamie, who died in a drowning accident but Holly deciding that she's ready to let her father ashes go actually was funny when she spilled them in her bag. When the storm blows off their shoddy new roof, Louisa finally finds the nerve to sack Marty which was what he deserved

Louisa was amassing as she juggling her cleaning and photography jobs with heavy labour when she struggles to finish the shack by herself after sacking Marty but falling asleep with all the plasterboard outside in the rain was the last straw, but she wasn't counting on her Rainbow's End friends, who rally in a huge work force to help finish the job and poor Holly when she tries to kiss him but Sean but he said no and Louisa driving to Melbourne and visits Anna who was responsible for Jack's affair and gets a sense of closure

The Sorry Ceremony, where Meilin Chee's bones are exhumed and the legend of Mary Kelly is laid to rest was nice and Louisa and Tibor i could see happening but trying to leave after she sleeps with him was amusing but what a great end to the first season finding Mary Kelly's gold nugget

Louisa and Nick's dinner date was not the romantic evening Louisa was hoping for and Nick has a knack for saying just the wrong thing and the Big Nugget that has been built by Marty and Rooster was always going to be a disaster

The Cockatoo that arrived mysteriously in the last episode is very amusing and Holly getting involved in the protest was great but Louisa trying to protect her daughter inadvertently elbows Gregg in the face was funny

Holly and Louisa having the same trouble with men was amusing and Evelyn's dead body in the front seat of Sean's car because his father had the funeral car was priceless

Louisa, Marg and Gemma offering to watch the shelter while Deb goes out on the town with Trev was nice and amusing and everybody helping the community garden was great

Holly making more money an hour than he mother was a surprise but Gemma and Pat's difficulties escalate, with Gemma becoming convinced that Pat has lost interest in her, but Pat is avoiding intimacy because he is suffering from another problem and it's nice they sorted out their problem

That was sad when Sandy suddenly forgets the way home so it's becoming clear that his Alzheimer's is worsening and the old folk cooking up an explosion was funny but Louisa getting a police escort instead of a speeding ticket was different
