Brand 'Too Busy' For Pirates

British comic Russell Brand fears he may miss out on a role in the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie - because he is too busy.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star was recently rumoured to be in negotiations to play the brother of Johnny Depp's character, Captain Jack Sparrow, in a planned sequel in the hit franchise.

But Brand insists that even if he is offered a part in the film, he might not be able to sign up because he is swamped with other commitments.

He tells Access Hollywood, "There’s been some talk of doing a Pirates movie. But, I’ve got eight other things to do including (new movie) Get Him To The Greek with Judd Apatow… So I don’t know if there’ll be time to be a pirate, I’ve got enough of that in me private life.

"I think it’s a possibility (but) I am rather busy."

The Rock's Uncle Taught Rourke To Wrestle

Mickey Rourke was transformed into a professional wrestler by the uncle of grappler-turned-Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson.

Rourke spent months at former World Wrestling Federation star Afa Anoa'i's Wild Samoan Training Center in Florida to prepare for his role as fallen ring favourite Randy 'The Ram' Johnson in The Wrestler.

And Dwayne Johnson - who used to wrestle under the name The Rock - reveals he kept a close eye on Rourke's transformation from actor to muscle-bound athlete.

He tells Moviefone.com, "My uncle actually trained Mickey for the movie, and he would call me weekly and give me progress reports on Mickey. That's a tough task to go from just being an actor to becoming not only a professional wrestler, but a professional wrestler who's wrestled for 25 years. My uncle was amazed at Mickey's progress and his desire to do everything. That takes commitment."

And Johnson insists he is a huge fan of the film, insisting it accurately depicted the wrestling world.

He adds, "I loved the movie. I thought Mickey's performance was outstanding. I thought that the movie that Darren Aronofsky created was real and memorable. That world - it's a very visceral, authentic world that he created, and I can't say enough great things about the movie, and I'm very proud of Mickey."

Rourke's performance in the movie earned him a Best Actor Oscar nomination - but he lost out to Sean Penn, who took home the prize for Milk at February's ceremony.

Craven 'has no rights over Elm Street'

Wes Craven has confirmed that he is not involved in the upcoming remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street and does not own the rights to his film.

The horror director told Moviehole that it was difficult to get anyone to make the original "avante-garde" film and that Bob Shaye was the only person "that right away got it".

Craven said: "When I did sell it, sold the script, I sold it outright. That was his insistence. I had no choice, otherwise, the film wouldn't have been made.

"So unfortunately, I don't have any ownership in it whatsoever, so they can do whatever they want with it, which is what they're doing. I haven't heard from them at all.

"They're basically just doing a remake. That's all I know. That'd be a tough one to re-see."

He added: "You know, it's had his life. And if they make a better film, maybe it will eclipse the original. I don't know. If they don't, then the original will look even better."

He added that he found it hard to watch Scary Movie, which he said "took my shots" and made him the "laughing stock of it".

Original Freddie Krueger actor Robert Englund has confirmed that he will not reprise his iconic role in the Samuel Bayer-helmed remake.

Hardy: 'Bronson isn't a monster'

Tom Hardy has admitted to growing fond of Britain's most violent prisoner Charles Bronson.

The British actor, who plays the criminal in this week's biopic Bronson, told This Morning that he refused to judge the man he was portraying.

"Over the past four years I was speaking to him two or three times a week," Hardy said. "I grew very fond of him actually. He's a very articulate, gentle, funny and clever man.

"I had to put his past and facts behind him and my job was to study, observe and reflect a man who was in front of me. There was no judgement from me, and I wanted to get as close to his characteristics and hear as many of his stories as I could to help my performance."

Hardy acknowledged that coming face-to-face with Bronson, who was jailed in 1974 for a failed armed robbery and had his sentence extended for repeated violent offences in prison, was a "very odd situation".

"I wanted to get as much out of him in terms of his reactions to my questions," Hardy added. "His mother said I am always welcome at her house, and she is lovely. I obviously can't speak for any of his victims and I can only speak of my personal experiences.

"The man I met wasn't a monster - massive anger problems yes, and hugely charismatic, but very insightful and interesting."

Arnie talks 'T4', 'Expendables' cameos

Arnold Schwarzenegger has shed light on his cameo appearances in Terminator Salvation and The Expendables.

The actor-turned-Governor of California said that he still holds reservations about his role in the new Terminator outing, believing that the franchise should move to distance itself from him.

"They should try to find a way of doing a story that does not include me at all, not even one single shot. I don't believe in that," he told TheArnoldFans.com.

"To kind of have them go out and promote the movie and say Arnold is in the movie and everyone thinks that I'm the Terminator and in fact you only see one second of me in there... I don't think that's the right thing to do. And you know that's the danger of that, and that's why I feel reluctant to be part of the movie in the first place. So it doesn't get promoted that way."

Schwarzenegger, however, is more enthusiastic about his brief appearance for friend Sylvester Stallone in action-drama The Expendables.

"[It] will just be something quick, like I walk out of a hotel or out of a office building and he will walk up and we will bump into each other and there will be some mumbling and then we will walk off," he explained. "So it will be something very simple, that will be again, just a cameo, so that's what we're going to do. I promised him I'd do that and I'm looking forward to that."
