The Leftovers Premieres on HBO on  June 29, 2014

When 2% of the world's population abruptly disappears without explanation, the world struggles to understand just what they're supposed to do about it. The new drama series 'The Leftovers' is the story of the people who didn't make the cut.

Based on the bestselling novel by Tom Perrotta, 'The Leftovers' follows Kevin Garvey, a father of two and the chief of police in a small New York suburb, as he tries to maintain some semblance of normalcy when the notion no longer applies. The series is executive produced by 'Lost' co-creator Damon Lindelof, together with Perrotta and 'Friday Night Lights' executive producers Peter Berg and Sarah Aubrey. Lindelof serves as the series showrunner.

Interesting insight to this show and following those that were left behind rather than the 2% of the world's population that disappeared was understandable but Nora loosing four members of her family was surprising

Three years not knowing what happened to those that disappeared would be tough and it a shame Jill got caught on the hockey field as the other girl started it but that spin the bottle app on the phone was disturbing and the protesters message was bound to upset those that had lost someone, I'm glad they explained the dog shooting

The dog shooters truck turning up on Kevin's drive was ironic but Jill and Amy doing their own investigation was surprising

If Reverend Jamison getting attacked it his church wasn't bad enough but about to loose the church if he can't raise $135,000 in a day was asking a lot and gambling $20,000 to win $160,000 was awesome but almost getting mugged was predictable and missing the deadline was tragic

Stealing the Baby Jesus from the manger was childish but Jill being involved was disappointing and Jill's mother throwing her gift down the drain was sad, the smokes in white breaking into everyone's home to steal the photos was bizarre

Not a very nice way to get her to break her silence by hitting her with base balls while tied to a tree and I had a feeling Kevin idea for a curfew would fall on death ears
