And for the tea drinkers among us...myself included, the pot's always ready.

That actually sounds good, right about now.  I'm gasping for a cuppa.

I'm a Guinness or G&T girl myself, but for our other ladies (and some gentlemen) who like to imbibe every now and then, here are some "girly" drinks that might tempt you.

I am not a beer drinker, I prefer the cocktail, but the other night we stumbled across a beer house and had this cherry flavored beer.  It tasted just like soda!

So I'm dying my hair for the first time ever!  I'm excited to see how it will come out.  I chose to go more red because I used to be a blonde, then my hair magically got darker.  Get a taste of it all =)  I've got 15 more minutes to kill until I have to rinse.  I really want to see how it looks.  I'll be back later and let you all know if the dye was a success.

Yep, that will happen The whole hair darkening with age. It will get even darker, if you have children. I'm excited, to hear how you hair came out. Let us know, how you liked it!!!

Show us a Meez, of your new look!!!

I know...it will darken or get more ashy (for fair-haired people) if you've had any major illness too.  I'm a strawberry blond...a little more on the strawberry side, but after I was really ill once it was like the red got sucked out of my hair.  Very weird.  I dye it now, but to my natural colour.  My hairdresser still asks if it's dyed because it looks so natural.  Every now and then I will go a shade darker than my natural colour, to a darker red.  I wish THAT was my natural colour, because I don't look quite so washed out when I'm sans make-up.

p.s. I was going to suggest you to show us a Meez of your new look, but Gypsy beat me to it.

Yes, you are right, illness too can do it. I was always a "honey blond", until I had children, it slowly started to darken. It is now much darker, but I too dye it back to my natural color. Even though I have it colored with just one color, my hair still has dozens of different shades in it. So, it looks, totally natural!!

I thought someone else, might be thinking of that Meez idea!! Hehehehehe!!

Mine's the same.  I have so many natural highlights that even when I colour it they still shine through.

ONE FLAW IN WOMAN

I've read this before, but was just sent it in an email and thought we could all use the reminder.

One Flaw in Woman

By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime.
An angel appeared and said, "Why are you spending so much time on this one?"
And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her?  She has  to be completely washable, but not plastic, have over 200 movable parts,
all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers, have a lap that can hold four children at one time, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
-and she will do everything with only two hands."

The angel was astounded at the requirements.
"Only two hands!? No way!  And that's just on the standard model?  That's too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish."

"But I won't," the Lord protested.
"I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick AND can work 18 hour days."
The angel moved closer and touched the woman.
"But you have made her so soft, Lord."

"She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough.
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

"Will she be able to think?” asked the angel.

The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will  be able to reason and negotiate."

The angel then noticed something, and  reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.
"Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.  I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."

"That's not a leak," the Lord corrected, "that's a tear!"
"What's the tear for?" the angel asked.

The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride."
The angel was impressed.
"You are a genius, Lord.  You thought of everything!
Woman is truly amazing."

And she is!
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colours.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS  THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

When I read it this time, it made me think of all of you gals in the giggle box, no matter what your age.  Always be mindful that even if it seems the little things you do go unnoticed, there's someone who is touched by what you have done...even if they never tell you.

Thank you barb.  I am sitting here at 4:00 am in the morning with tears in my eyes after reading that beautiful story.

Oh dear, why are you up at 4:00am Penny!?

I don't have time to read what you posted right now Barb, but I'll read it when I get back.

I beat you all to the meez.  I posted it last night right after I washed out the dye.  hehe we're all addicted!  I love how some people have put their meez in their signature and change it every so often.  It's so much fun!

I am happy to report that my hair came out good.  It is a subtle change, but you can definitely see the red.  If you didn't know me, you would think it was natural.  That's why I chose the color.  I like change, but I like to keep it natural looking.  For a while I had blue contacts (back to the color they used to be); I now have green eyes.  When I would wear my clear contacts when I ran out of blues people thought those were the fake ones because the blue looked so natural.

Oh and while working today I was listening to Bryan Greenberg's CD (he's Nick Garret on October Road and was Jake Jigalski on One Tree Hill).  This song made me think of the giggle box so I thought I'd share it with you girlies.  It's called Daydream by Bryan Greenberg.

I can't find the lyrics online but here is the opening verse.  I also can't upload the song on here because it's locked on my iTunes, I'll try to find a site later that has it, but I'm on my way out of the apartment right now and just wanted to share this.
"lets run away from reality
roll around in a fantasy
wont tell anyone we're leaving
lets sneak out while their sleeping..."
