Though I am not a big fan of Microsoft, Security Essentials is a great anti-virus, and the biggest thing it is free

You cannot beat AVG, its free and I have never had any trouble with it. Norton on the other hand is a complete resource hog and you can never really get rid of it once installed. It seems to crop up all over the place once bedded in.  Zone Alarm is really good though you have to pay for it.
I personally have AVG suite running alongside Malwarebytes software and Peerblock all running in harmony in the background.

I know you can't beat AVG but that just antivirus not a firewall. I perter zone alarm (free version) not paid version. I am glad you have managed run all software in harmony but i refer to the fact that an  internet suite has all of that built into one software plus some extras. The problem with free ones you mentioned is that there not as good as paided version.

Firefox

Question fellas - I'm still running FF v. 3.6.9.  I have started getting so many script errors and just noticed in my Gmail that there was a notice at the top that the version I'm running does not support Gmail (or vice versa - can't remember the phrasing).  Anyway, which version/s are you all using and have you had any problems with this or the movie site if you are using a more up to date version?  Thanks in advance for any tips.

I have been using chrome sometimes for watching RP videos, so if that's the main trade-off, I can live with it.  It would be nice if one browser did everything I wanted it to, but since I'm wanting more from them all the time, it's probably not as realistic as it once was.   Thanks for the feedback Bala.   If anyone else has more tips, I'd be happy to hear them.

That totally sucks!  Can you watch shows on any sites?  I can't imagine such a drop, especially since you had such a fast connection before.  Must be frustrating to do even basic stuff.  Nice to see you though.

Wow Rick that really does suck. Have a word with Lbj as he is in China, he may be able to advise a way forward with the restriction.

good to be back here in the forum barb, i missed it really.

yeah craig, i guess there's no other way for the restriction but to use a virtual network which is now my solution... and my burning question to lbj is how in the world he chose to host viptv in china with this kind of internet speed? why not the US or Japan with magnificent speed connection?

I have sometimes wondered the same thing, like I just read about how much money has already been spent at the New Stratford City Mall and it blew my mind, I have visited the place and it is like a mad house.

HTC Evo, I like it.  About being in a recession, one of the things that people are not doing is saving money.  We spend our money on cell phones, computers, and when many of us pay our bills for past and current purchases, we are still in debt, and have little or no money saved.  Credit Cards, cell phones plans, internet bills, car payments, house payments, insurance, and again I barely have any money to save.

It is almost impossible in my life and many to go without a phone, without internet, without a car.
