David Caruso Sued by Ex-Girlfriend
David Caruso's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his two children claims the CSI: Miami star emotionally abused her during their relationship, and accuses him of "raising his hand" to her during her second pregnancy and keeping a stash of 1970s porn in his bedroom.
Liza Marquez is suing Caruso for fraud, breach of their settlement agreement and emotional distress, according to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday.
The office of Marquez's attorney confirmed the lawsuit to TVGuide.com, but offered no further comment.
Marquez claims in the suit that Caruso, whom she says she met in 2004, promised to provide for her and give her a ring. They later moved in together, and Caruso started to emotionally and mentally abuse her, according to the suit.
Marquez said the actor asked her to terminate her first pregnancy, falsely accused her of cheating on him with his assistant, and further accused her of wanting to sleep with Billy Dee Williams.
She said that after she gave birth to their second child, daughter Paloma, in October 2007, Caruso broke up with her when she was released from the hospital and served her with a paternity action. In August 2008, Caruso agreed to pay Marquez $1 million, but later reneged, the suit claims.
Caruso and Marquez also have a 3-year-old son named Marquez Anthony.
