About Plebs

Plebs Premiered on ITV2 on March 25, 2013

About the Show:
Plebs is a thoroughly modern comedy with an ancient setting.  The series will follow three desperate young men from the suburbs as they try to get laid, hold down jobs and climb the social ladder in the big city – a city that just happens to be Ancient Rome!

The series stars Tom Rosenthal (Friday Night Dinner), Joel Fry (White Van Man, Trollied) and Ryan Sampson (Work Experience, After You’ve Gone) as the three young men – Marcus, Stylax and their lazy slave with a major attitude problem, Grumio.

Doon Mackichan (Smack The Pony) also stars, as the boys’ ruthless boss, Flavia - an expert manipulator with a private life that's the stuff of legend.

A sexy newcomer called Cynthia played by Sophie Colquhoun (The Inbetweeners Movie, Switch) soon joins the boys as she moves into the flat next door along with her sarcastic slave Metella played by Lydia Rose Bewley (The Inbetweeners Movie).

Rome is traditionally imagined as the home of emperors and senators, generals and gladiators, a dignified theatre of pomp and ceremony.  But what about the little guys, the wasters - new to the big city, stuck in office jobs, unable to get the girls?

Unlikely to be immortalized in the annals or memorialized in a frieze, Marcus, Stylax and Grumio are essentially just a bunch of Plebs.  And whether they’re wearing togas, or skinny jeans, desperate young men in any period of history are essentially cut from the same cloth.

In episode one, things take an upward turn for the boys when Marcus meets some fit Britons in the courtyard and Stylax finds a flyer to an orgy. With his grocery budget now spent on orgy tickets, Grumio must scrimp and save in order to put food on the table.

About The Mindy Project

The Mindy Project Premiered on FOX on September 25, 2012

About the Show:
THE MINDY PROJECT is a biting new single-camera comedy from Emmy Award-nominated writer/producer and New York Times best-selling author Mindy Kaling ("The Office") that follows a woman who, despite having a successful career, is unlucky in love and desperately needs to get her personal life back on track before her friends and colleagues are forced to stage an intervention.

Funny, impatient and politically incorrect, MINDY LAHIRI (Kaling) can quote every romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan that exists. She loves the good ones and the bad ones, because the girl always gets the guy. Mindy is determined to be more punctual, spend less money, lose weight and read more books - all in pursuit of becoming a well-rounded perfect woman...who can meet and date the perfect guy.

Despite her hectic personal life, Mindy is a skilled OB/GYN and shares a practice with a few other doctors, none of whom makes life any easier for her. DANNY CASTELLANO (Chris Messina) is a hothead and guys' guy who has a habit of stealing Mindy's patients. Danny criticizes her for everything, including her struggling love life and her lack of professionalism - even though it's obvious to everyone except Mindy that he secretly admires her work. In contrast, JEREMY REED (Ed Weeks) is the walking definition of total bad news. He not only shares a practice with Mindy, but sometimes her bed as well - despite her best efforts to resist. Male nurse MORGAN TOOKERS (Ike Barinholtz), a reformed ex-con and the hospital's resident cheerleader, just wishes that he and his colleagues spent more time together outside of work, while DR. SHULMAN (Stephen Tobolowsky), the head of the practice, is always excited to wax philosophical, especially if his advice gets the younger staff to leave him alone.

Rounding out the medical staff are the receptionists - BETSY PUTCH (Zoe Jarman), young, earnest and easily excitable, who thinks the world of Mindy and is always trying to impress her; and SHAUNA DICANIO (Amanda Setton), a self-assured Jersey Girl who is indifferent to Mindy, always knows where the cool party is and carries a poorly concealed torch for Danny. Mindy also is in constant contact with her sometimes too-blunt best friend from college, GWEN GRANDY (Anna Camp), a lawyer-turned-Pilates mom who happens to be the governor's daughter.

As Mindy attempts to get her career off the ground and meet a guy who passes her red flag test (no drug habits, no skinny jeans and no secret families, among others), only time will tell if she gets her romantic comedy ending.

About Beauty and the Beast (2012)

Beauty and the Beast (2012) Premiered on The CW on October 11, 2012

About the Show:
Catherine “Cat” Chandler (Kristin Kreuk, "Smallville,” “Chuck”) is a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective, who is haunted by her own tragic past. When she was a teenager, Cat witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen. Cat would have been killed too, but someone – or something – saved her. No one has ever believed her, but she knows it wasn’t an animal that attacked the assassins…though it was strange and terrifying, it was human.

Years have passed, and although she thinks about her mother every day, Cat is now strong and confident, a capable police detective working with her equally talented partner, Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello, “Nurse Jackie”). The two women make a good team, and have become close friends while working on countless homicide cases under the supervision of their tough-but-fair boss, Joe Bishop (Brian White, “The Shield,” “The Cabin in the Woods”). Cat has also become close to another co-worker, the medical examiner Evan Marks (Max Brown, “The Tudors,” “MI-5”), and they’ve developed a fun, flirtatious relationship that could easily turn into something deeper – if Cat would let that happen. However, much to the concern of her younger sister, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson, "Make It or Break It"), Cat’s romantic inclinations tend toward bad boys.

While investigating a new case Cat and Tess discover fingerprints that lead to a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan, “Terra Nova”), who was reportedly killed by enemy fire while serving in Afghanistan in 2002. Digging deeper, Cat learns that Vincent is actually still alive. For mysterious reasons that have forced him to live outside of traditional society, Vincent has been in hiding for the past 10 years. With the help of his childhood friend J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis, “Life Unexpected”), Vincent has been able to guard his terrible secret – when he is enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super-strength and heightened senses. Cat is stunned when Vincent admits he was the “animal” who saved her the night of her mother’s murder. Vincent doesn’t admit the whole truth – he is emotionally tied to Cat and has been watching over her for years.

Cat agrees to protect Vincent’s identity in return for any insight he may have into her mother’s murder. Thus begins a complex relationship between Cat and Vincent, who understand that their connection is extremely dangerous for both of them. Cat’s secret obsession with Vincent puts a strain on her relationship with everyone around her, and Tess is especially troubled by the feeling that Cat is keeping something from her.

Perhaps the most surprising element of their relationship is that Vincent soon becomes a secret but important part of Cat’s detective work. During the years he spent hiding in the shadows, watching over Cat and other innocents, Vincent learned a lot about the darkest parts of the city and the people who live there. His sharpened instincts, incredible strength and human compassion become invaluable to Cat as she works to bring criminals to justice.

As she slowly comes to terms with Vincent’s monstrous alter-ego, Cat senses she can trust him in ways she hasn’t been able to trust any man before and, despite the obstacles between them, she realizes that she’s safer with him than anywhere else.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Take 5 Productions/Whizbang Films with executive producers Sherri Cooper (“Brothers and Sisters”) & Jennifer Levin (“Without A Trace,” “Felicity”), Brian Peterson (“Smallville”) & Kelly Souders (“Smallville”), Gary Fleder (“Life Unexpected,” “October Road”), Bill Haber (“Rizzoli & Isles,” “Thurgood”), Paul J. Witt (“A Better Life”) & Tony Thomas (“A Better Life”), Ron Koslow (“Moonlight”), Frank Siracusa (“The Yard”) and John Weber ("Borgias").

The detectives question Lois Whitworth, who owns the Westchester Polo Club where the boy worked. Lois is surprised to learn that her daughter, Clarissa has been dating this young man. Clarissa claims that she ended the relationship because he was involved in illegal activities, but Cat and Tess suspect that there's more to her story. About Golden Boy

Golden Boy Premiered on CBS on February 26, 2013

About the Show:
GOLDEN BOY is a drama about the meteoric rise of an ambitious cop who becomes the youngest police commissioner in the history of New York City, and the high personal and professional cost he pays to achieve it. As he's interviewed for a story about his career, Walter William Clark, Jr. looks back on his hard-fought journey from street kid to the most powerful man in law enforcement. After only three years as a beat cop, Clark's heroics on the job make him bold enough to ask for and receive the unheard-of promotion to homicide detective, angering the members of his new department who are eager to see him fail. Clark is partnered with and mentored by experienced veteran Detective Don Owen, just two years shy of retirement. He would rather team with First Grade Detective Christian Arroyo, the alpha dog in the squad who's just as ambitious as Clark, but without a moral center. Arroyo's partner is Detective Deborah McKenzie, a tough third-generation cop and the only female detective in the unit. Also on the team is Detective Joe Diaco, well-connected with tremendous resources which Clark might find useful. Though laser-focused on moving up the ladder, Clark's soft spot is serving as the sole caregiver and supporter of his sister, Agnes, a teenager demonstrating increasingly dangerous behavior. Keenly observant and politically savvy, the Golden Boy bases his career decisions solely on his need to succeed as quickly as possible, and he'll find that his epic journey will be filled with consequences.

About Motive

Motive Premiered on CTV on February 03, 2013

About the Show:
MOTIVE is an unconventional way to watch a crime drama unfold. Each episode of the new CTV Original Drama begins by revealing not only the victim, but the killer as well. It’s not a “whodunit,” it’s a “whydunit,” a question faced by spirited female Vancouver homicide detective Angie Flynn (Kristin Lehman) as she begins to piece together the clues from the crime. How are the victim and killer connected? What is the motive? As the mystery unfolds, the audience navigates a complicated maze of clues alongside the detective and her team.

In the series’ signature teaser, viewers meet the killer and the victim in two separate opening vignettes. This surprising format challenges both the lead character and the audience to solve the mystery each week. While Angie sets out to piece together a murder plot, viewers spend time with the killer both before and after the crime, giving them the opportunity to delve inside the mind of a criminal, and understand their motive.

Flashbacks to the killer and victim amplify the tension and reveal their shared backstory. The narrative focuses on the unique cat-and-mouse element of the series as Angie closes in on the killer, and the evidence needed to solve the crime.

MOTIVE’s disarming and street-smart lead character Angie Flynn doesn’t suffer fools or authority figures lightly. Leading criminals and co-workers alike down the garden path, they soon realize that taking this sexy and sassy force-of-nature at face value is a major mistake. Viewers will be entertained by Angie’s character, intrigued by her investigation, and emotionally invested in both.
