My Vote: 7 Good Points: Looks a lot more professional, and once the initial bugs had been worked out (which they do seem to have been), it is very swish. However, the old site had some good features that the new site simply lacks. Such as the colour coded updates, and the expandable menus. Also, the new layout of the player screen is much less convenient than the old one. It's nice that the ep names are included, but why oh why is one season spread across two or three pages? On the upside, the old version used to throw out regular 'Time Out' or 'Invalid' error messages. Except on the first day of the new system, I haven't recieved a single error message of any kind. This pleases me :-) G
Thank you ;) its now working for me! Happy bunny

viewing history

please include the episode number in viewing history.
I'm really disappointed with the change. I liked it so much better when the shows were organized by genre (comedy, drama, etc), and if you insist on leaving them in alphabetical order now could you please put the shows into columns instead of having them all left to right, it's really irritating when trying to find a show now. I hate that the episodes are organized backwards. Who watches a season from end to beginning? Duh. What does it mean in the viewing history when it says PAID? How are we supposed to get back lost points now?

thanks

Thanks for fixing the problem with the Mac and realplayer issue. Works again. I'm very pleased that it is working again. Good work and thanks again.

Thanks...

I just wanted to say thanks for the new look and the great way things are working -- at least for me! Since I have been back in the US and settled, I wanted to of course catchup on my programs. At first things were not working, but since the change on the 26th of May, I hae literally watched episode after episode of my favorites. Thanks so much for listing to the various complaints and situations and I'm sure you will fix everyone. I've been a fan for several years now -- I'm an even bigger fan because you listened and are constantly improving your product.

The initial click of an episode will show up and say how many points were deducted. Any subsequent clicks will show the episode again but just say PAID, which means you already paid for the episode, not that you have been charged again. You still PM lbjedward for reimbursement of lost points.

thanks for this site

I love the new look. I know change is hard for people at first, even if the change is ultimately good and smooth. It looks like you have started coloring the latest episodes, as requested. The search option, look, and the episode titles are all nice extras. I do miss the 'coming soon' section, but maybe that itself is coming soon? And I wish there were more shows, but I know there are more coming all the time. Thanks for this site! I'm an American living in Europe and it's been so great to have VIPTV!

Initial Pop Up Window

thought the initial pop up window was disabled for mac but it still pop up only that it is blank... it's more ok if they will absolutely disable that one. the loading in real player on mac is faster than loading in PC... can admin also just disable the initial pop up window for PC? Perhaps it will help also load faster like in mac... just an observation...

Thanks for fixing the Mac issue

And so quickly, too. But shows are taking a very long time to load in RealPlayer for me now. Any ideas what might be wrong? Connection speed has been tested and is fine. As well, I agree with those who want the genres back; I'm looking for a new series to watch and am just staring at a very long list of titles which often mean nothing to me. And the new shows section; that always built a nice sense of anticipation!

real player direct doesn't work on my mac

i'm sorry, but this doesn't work at all for me. yesterday i could watch on my mac using the realPlayer 10.1 in the background, but i can't directly open realplayer in the background. please help with how to use this new system...

never mind

i figured out how to use realplayer browser on the mac...

Poll?

This isn't much of a "poll" and if there is one I'm not seeing it. That said, the New members center has a buggy & somewhat confusing interface with regard to the viewing history portion. It is difficult to navigate between viewing history pages, and they seem to not flow in an accurate order. However, I'm happy to see episode titles have been added. Also, as for the episode update, well i would like to see an expanded list. By the way, the drop down bubbles (listing show names) on the 'all shows' & 'new shows' tabs should be resurrected.
Other than the first few days, when I lost about 6 points due to timeouts other errors, I find the new system to be a vast improvement. I still have the occasional "do-over" (about 1 in 10 starts), but that's a HUGE improvement. One gripe though-- please put the episodes in first-to-last order, especially since they are split between more than one page. Otherwise, major kudos to you guys for the overhaul! storm
OK. So I am loving the new appearance. However the issue for me is that I can't see shows that are 'Coming Soon' like I could before on the original log in screen. I like this feature as it lets me know what to look forward to. now it does not show what is being added or when, and lets face it, there are ALOT of shows to scroll through!!! Let me know! By the way, this site ROCKS!!! Thanks

My Thoughts

I wanted to wait and see how site performed over the last few days before making my final opinion. On whole i didn't experience any problem since new site was launched but i have notice VIP card cannot be activate on the member center and we been told admin (ibjedward) they can only add point directly and that all vip cards are now invalid. however PM him add the point directly into your account if you have a VIP card The playing isn't any different from old site it's still loads the same however i do notice it's certainly is a lot smoother playing less connecting problem which is great. now playing shows this really is funny anyone try refresh that page every few seconds it keep changing . it really show how variety of shows our members watch if you ever bored try it refresh the page every few seconds it really make you laugh. i really don't see the point in promoted show but it doesn't bothered me I'm more interested in new shows being added but that's not available on new site i do like member centre epically how we just click on our username to access it . All in all apart from smoother playing that seems to be only improvement i can see now i'm sure more improvement are coming in next few weeks but as of now this is it

Viewing History

I went to my viewing history to see which episode of In Plain Site I had seen but I could not located it there anywhere. I went through the tree pages that were available. Am I doing something wrong?

No, you aren't doing anything wrong. The viewing histories were erased during the upgrade. I suggest checking tv.com's episode guide to find which episode you were up to. Sorry for the inconvenience.

missing viewing history!! plus more......

i totallty agree with select23 The new layout is HORRIBLEf , and HARD TO NAVIGATE. PLEASE switch it back to the old layout! Just some issues I noticed in the first 2mins: -Episodes are sorted backwards -Seasons are sorted backwards -Viewing history is missing last 2 months, only shows 10 pages, doesn't show episode#. Columns are wrong sizes and if i make a mistake i will be charged for the episode! -No color coding of Episode Updates -Hard to tell if episode is free of VIP -You need to change page to see all the episodes of a specific season, that's ridiculous, it should all be on one page like before! -Doesn't show "date added" anymore for each season... -Search doesn't work properly... -PLEASE change it back to the old layout!!

-No color coding of Episode Updates - The color coding for updated shows has been added back to the site. -Hard to tell if episode is free of VIP - When you click on any show, the box with the description of the show has a line that says: "Required Points:", which either has a number beside it or says Free. How much easier should it be? -Search doesn't work properly - In what way? Personally, I have found the search function to work fine - unless I have misspelled the name of a show. People have always been charged if the mistake was on their part. If, because of the upgrades you have lost points inadvertantly, LBJ has said to send him a PM for reimbursement. I think that's very fair. With changes there are always initial glitches, but the old layout is not going to be brought back. Many people don't like change, but I think once you get used to the changes (and as the suggestions of members are implemented), I think you will come to enjoy the new site. For the most part, the viewing is smoother for the majority of users, and that is the main thing.
