new look and VOD system

I can't get anything to work. I've tried safari and firefox and as soon as I ask to watch a show it quits either application. When will this be repaired? It's very frustrating.
I think it's great the episodes have names now, at the moment since they took out the genres for All shows at the bottom of the Home page it would be helpful either to keep the genre or make the whole thing in alphabetical order. I wished they kept the pop up window that came on when you brought your cursor to free shows and all shows though. It was easier to jump from there. I'm sure I'll get used to the new site though.
At least In my case, constant browser crashes have nothing to do which server I use - they both crash in exactly the same way. I guess the new video loading script is somehow incompatible with Mac computers in general.

Thanks i should take more notice of the small print but i think if it was spaced like GMT - 8 it would be more obvious

cant watch at all!

since you changed the webpage yesterday everytime the video window opens now (after choosing an episode) my whole browser app crashes (no matter if firefox 3.0.10 or safari). i don't even get to chose whether to play it in real player. im on mac OSX 10.4.11, and i have the same problems on the movie online site. help!

Same here -I agree it must be something to do with the script not being compatible with Mac's - I think particularly when it is trying to access the browsers realplayer plugin (at least that is what my consoles report says)

Poll: New site

I really like the new site, I find it easier to navigate, and show seems to be playing smoother, no noticeable lag time between video and audio that I had experienced on old site. New lay out is better than old. Thank you for your efforts and success.

VIP test

I thought i would test the new VIP with the 3 web browser i have on my computer so i decided i would watch the last 3 episodes of The Mentalist i started with Chrome and episode Miss Red and it play in the pop-up window with no buffing so that was great. Next was IE and episode Blood Brothers but this episode has been giving me a lot of trouble so after it buffed 4 times in 5 min i gave up and decided to watch the same episode that i watched in Chrome to see which browser was best so Miss Red in IE only buffed 2 times so that was OK. Finale Firefox and the episode Miss Red again this time it only buffed once so that was good so over all VIP is great the best web browser for me was Chrome followed by Firefox and last was IE. Now to the Viewing History which has confused me Show Episode Viewed at Cost The Mentalist Season 1 Miss Red 05-23-2009, 10:54 AM Paid The Mentalist Season 1 Miss Red 05-23-2009, 10:08 AM Paid The Mentalist Season 1 Blood Brothers 05-23-2009, 10:02 AM 0 The Mentalist Season 1 Miss Red 05-23-2009, 8:59 AM 0 [ Last edited by codebreaker at 5-23-2009 18:12 ]

That is the same as is used on the movie site. When it says "Paid" it means you have already paid (in this case 0 points) for the episode, but have had to click on the link again. If it was a show that cost points, the initial click would indicate how many you used. This is a more effective way to keep track of point usage and better for Admin when reimbursing lost points.

Thanks for the explanation
New look is better than previous. There is just one suggestion that came to my mind: there should be a list of genres. Or if it is there allready I didn't find it yet.

Viewing history, is history. No shows listed at all

I notice the slow load last night, however today loading is very good. All viewing history is gone though, nothing at all listed.
It's nice to see a change however, I miss where you list the new shows to be added.
its ok but its too dark
The site looks great. Like others, I also miss the colour coding of new episodes; it's a great visual cue. Also, much of my viewing history seems to be missing. I don't have any history from 20 March onward. Maybe some data was lost in updating the site? Or is this probably an unrelated problem?

Unfortunately the upgrade did erase the past viewing history. We recommend to keep track of which episodes you are up to. I personally send myself a PM with the next episode(s) to watch. It's helpful for me because the information is right at my fingertips and I don't have to search for it.

All times are GMT

Nice trick i just logged out and back in to clean up the new posts and spotted when you log out you loose 8 hours Signed in All times are GMT, the time now is 23-5-2009 22:16 Signed out All times are GMT-8, the time now is 5-23-2009 14:16
I like the new site. It looks much slicker and runs more smooth. A lot like the movies site, which I'm guessing must be a sister site.
