About Lucky Louie

Lucky Louie Premiered on HBO on June 11, 2006

About the Show:
Lucky Louie is HBO’s first-ever multi-camera comedy series, which takes a fresh and funny look into blue-collar domestic life. Bringing an honest and unadulterated approach to the classic half-hour sitcom, Lucky Louie focuses on the challenges of marriage and family through the story of a young couple who are just barely getting by.

Louis C.K. stars as Louie, a part-time mechanic at a muffler shop, who spends most of his time at home taking care of his four-year-old daughter Lucy while his wife Kim, the real breadwinner, works as a full-time nurse. This untraditional arrangement can be difficult at times, as Louie is never content with the role of caregiver (despite having no skills or ambition to offer his family or society), and Kim can never quite let go of controlling, supervising and criticizing Louie’s shoddy stay-at-home work. But they always stick it out in the end, because somewhere under all that muck they love each other... plus, they have no choice.

About Spaced

Spaced Premiered on Channel 4 on September 24, 1999

About the Show:
Spaced: the anti-Friends, in that it examines the lives of common 20 somethings, but in a way that is more down to earth and realistic. Here we have Daisy and Tim; two 'young' adults with big dreams just trying to get by in this crazy world. They are thrown together in a common pursuit of tenancy, which they find by posing as a couple. The house has a landlady and an oddball artist living there. The series explores the ins and outs of London living.

The show is also marked with it's 'coolness' as director Edgar Wright employs big screen direction to the small screen, and a plethora of latest music. To make this appealing to most people, there are almost non-stop pop-cultural references that will keep you laughing and engaged.

About Sports Night

Sports Night Premiered on ABC on September 22, 1998

About the Show:
It's a show about a show about sports, that isn't about sports at all.

Sports Night, created by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing) takes viewers behind the scenes of the production a sports show within a show. At 11:00 pm every night, the cable sports show "Sports Night" airs, hosted by Casey McCall (Peter Krause) and Dan Rydell (Josh Charles).  Casey and Dan, who are best friends off-camera, work along side a group of co-workers who work in the fast-paced world behind the scenes.  Together, their humor, intelligence, and chemistry as a whole make what goes on behind the scenes just as dramatic as what happens on-camera.

As executive producer, Dana Whitaker (Felicity Huffman) is an old friend of Casey's, and despite the chemistry between them, she keeps their relationship strictly professional due to Casey being a recent divorcee.  Isaac Jaffee (Robert Guillaume), the show's managing editor, is tough on his staff, but would do anything to keep the show on the show on the air.  Natalie Hurley (Sabrina Lloyd), the show's senior associate producer, is young and enthusiastic and responsible for the hiring of Jeremy Goodwin (Joshua Malina) who works hard as an associate producer, but worries about not fitting in with the rest of the staff.

Through the ups and downs, wins and loses of the sports world, the tight-knit team works together day in and day and remains committed to writing, directing, and producing one of the top cable sports television shows.

Though critically-acclaimed and award-winning, Sports Night was canceled after two seasons due to declining ratings.
