About Played

Played Premiered on CTV on October 03, 2013

About the Show:
In "Played", the CIU (Covert Investigations Unit) risks going undercover to infiltrate and bring down criminal organizations. In this new style of short-term, high-intensity undercover work, each covert “play” is crafted quickly and executed at an even faster pace. Placed into various worlds of crime without a safety net, the cops are in constant danger, as they repeatedly go off the grid. Wearing wires, coaxing confessions, and setting up stings, the cops of the CIU must think quickly, talk smoothly, and rely on pure instinct. They slip in and out of characters so often that, sometimes, they lose track of who they really are.

The team of highly-skilled and brave detectives is led by undercover cop John Moreland. At the top of his game, John has great instincts, and is usually in charge, but when the new Covert Investigations Unit is established, it is the consummate strategist Rebecca Ellis who is given the reigns, resulting in tense conflict between the two. Rebecca keeps John on track by balancing his from-the-hip instincts with her keen intellect. However, ultimately Rebecca and John need each other to pull off their risky plays and they know it.

About Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow Premiered on FOX on September 16, 2013

About the Show:
What if you suddenly woke up from the throes of death 250 years in the future to find the world is on the brink of destruction, caused by unimaginable events, and you are humanity's last hope?

Welcome to SLEEPY HOLLOW, the thrilling new mystery-adventure drama from co-creators/executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci ("Star Trek" and "Transformers" franchises, "Fringe").

In this modern-day retelling of Washington Irving's classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen") is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the infamous Headless Horseman who is on a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Bound to the Headless Horseman by a blood spell cast on the battlefield of the American Revolution, Ichabod quickly realizes that stopping Headless is just the beginning, as the resurrected rider is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

As this re-invented Ichabod finds himself in present-day Sleepy Hollow, he discovers a town and a world he no longer recognizes. All that is brutally familiar are Headless and Ichabod's determination to annihilate this immortal being. It's a mission he must complete quickly, as Headless already has viciously slain Sheriff AUGUST CORBIN (guest star Clancy Brown, "Cowboys & Aliens," "Carnivale"). Grey served both as mentor and father figure to Detective ABBIE MILLS (Nicole Beharie, "Shame," "American Violet"), a young cop whose own supernatural experiences help her form an unlikely bond with Ichabod. But Sleepy Hollow's head of police, Captain FRANK IRVING (Orlando Jones, "The Chicago 8," "Drumline"), isn't buying any of this.

In fact, the only person who is on Abbie's side is Ichabod. His extensive first-hand knowledge of our secret American history, coupled with her superior profiling and modern threat assessment skills, will make them a formidable duo as they work together to triumph over evil. The complex pasts of Ichabod and Abbie, from Ichabod's inclusion in the powerful and secretive Freemasons Society and the ghostly appearance of his late wife, KATRINA (Katia Winter, "Dexter"), to Abbie's childhood visions, will help them solve the intricate puzzles of Sleepy Hollow in order to protect its future.

As history repeats itself, the oddly-linked pair will draw on the real stories and hallowed secrets this nation was founded on in their quest to stop an increasingly vicious cycle of evil.

SLEEPY HOLLOW is from K/O Paper Products in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series is co-created by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Phillip Iscove and Len Wiseman ("Hawaii Five-0," "Underworld" and "Total Recall"). The series is executive-produced by Kurtzman, Orci, Wiseman and Heather Kadin. Iscove serves as supervising producer. Wiseman directed the pilot.

Episode 1: (Feb/02/2009)
Ambitious DI Joseph Chandler is assigned an open-and-shut case, the killing of a woman in the East End of London. If he resolves this case quickly, he will be awarded with a long-deserved promotion, but, unfortunately, things don’t turn out to be so straightforward.

The investigation quickly runs out of suspects until Edward Buchan, a renowned Ripperologist, draws the police’s attention to the similarities between the Jack the Ripper killings of 1888 and the modern-day murder that Chandler is investigating. The race begins to catch the copycat killer before he strikes again.

Episode 2: (Feb/09/2009)
Chandler continues to clash with his team, led by the cynical DS Miles. Further suspects lead to dead ends as the detectives attempt to penetrate the conspiracies and myths that surround the legend of Jack the Ripper.

Frustrated, Chandler pins his hopes on trapping their latest suspect, a soldier named Leary, but the operation goes tragically wrong.

Episode 3: (Feb/16/2009)
The final act begins — the Ripper must kill one more victim to complete his re-enactment of the 1888 murders.

Chandler is near a breakdown as he struggles to find an answer. Forensics and CCTV (closed-circuit television) are useless and the team is forced to rely on its instincts, hoping that the past will provide some clue to the killer’s identity.

But time is ticking away and history tells us that Jack the Ripper was never caught …
