Halt and Catch Fire Premieres on AMC on June 01, 2014

Set in the early 1980s, “Halt & Catch Fire” dramatizes the personal computing boom through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose innovations directly confront the corporate behemoths of the time. Their personal and professional partnership will be challenged by greed and ego while charting the changing culture in Texas' Silicon Prairie. From AMC Studios, “Halt & Catch Fire” is created by Chris Cantwell and Chris Rodgers. Mark Johnson (“Breaking Bad,” Diner, Rain Man) and Melissa Bernstein (“Breaking Bad”) from Gran Via Productions serve as executive producers.

What a way for Joe to spoil the moment with Cameron but Joe following Gordon and his family to the cinema with his idea was a bold move but you can understand why Gordon was reluctant with him having a family to support, spending the whole weekend rewriting the boot code was impressive and reprogramming his daughters spell checker was nice

Cameron sleeping on the job trying to make Joe's vision a reality while Gordon goes home was dedication but loosing 68% of their business going up against IBM was bound to make things awkward

Joe and John seeking the funds to make the new portable machine was understandable after loosing so much business and Donna solving the size at the kitchen table was impressive considering Gordon is supposed to be the expert but firing the guy after the crash was understandable as he has been nothing but a hindrance

Cooking the books was an amusing way to start and Joe's plan to get a story for the press was devious but putting Donna's own job on the line was terrible

Cameron making the most of her new accommodation was amusing but not lasting long was predictable and Cameron using the games as a way to find the best programmers was clever

After what Donna did to help them at the risk of her own job Gordon going for the doll for his daughter was the least he could do but buying a brick for $80 was karma for forgetting and what Cameron wanted to do with the operating system was ambitious but would put them above the others, Joe entertaining the girls during the storm was nice

With Gordon's behaviour after Donna left town it was obvious he was heading for a break down and drinking while cooking with his children was asking for trouble, Donna kissing her co-worker first was a surprise as I expected him to make the first move

Donna not complaining about Gordon's credit card charges was understandable as she was feeling guilty over the kiss and John getting arrested was bad timing but Gordon stripping down the computer was quick thinking

Gordon and Joe preparing to move the Giant was interesting and the way Joe brought them a little more time was amusing but Donna finding out she had been played by her boss was a hell of a set back

Gordon without the beard looked so different but what an end to the first season with Cameron starting her own company with Donna working for her and Joe setting fire to the shipment
