The three young men being pacifist's during the first world war was interesting as they thought with all the other men being away at war it would leave them the pick of the women but Cecil being everyone's enemy was amusing

Bert trying to make a move on the widow of man who has just died in battle was a little insensitive and urinating on the memorial tree was out of order

Cecil was right to feel suspicious after Penny asks him out on a date as she seemed to only want to kiss him to get a reaction from her family and friends
