Wild Boys Premiered on Seven on September 4, 2011

In Hopetoun there are few rules… And even fewer willing to follow them.

In this town moral codes are muddied by circumstance and opportunity. There’s gold for the taking, cash being splashed and power wielded ruthlessly with little regard for right and wrong. It’s hard to know the good guys from the bad when guns, blades and fists speak louder than any law.

This is the world of the Wild Boys, a high-energy adventure series about a gang of bushrangers whose charisma is as captivating and entertaining as their extreme exploits in the Australian bush.

Set in 1860s NSW at the frontier – where gold has lured the opportunistic away from the still fledgling main colonies, – Wild Boys follows four men on the outside of the law as they come up against authority, the rich and greedy and the foibles of their own hearts.

Daniel MacPherson (City Homicide) and Zoe Ventoura (Packed to the Rafters) star alongside a stellar Australian cast that includes Michael Dorman, David Field, Jeremy Sims, Christopher Stollery, Nathaniel Dean, Anna Hutchison and newcomer Alexander England.

Jack, Dan, Conrad and Captain Gunpowder are the Wild Boys.

Jack wants enough gold to head west, buy land and settle down with Mary, Hopetoun’s publican, butcher and brothel owner.

Dan wants enough gold to head west and buy women (any women, really).

Captain Gunpowder just wants to have fun with Jack, Dan and his cache of explosives (and maybe win the heart of a certain school teacher).

And Conrad doesn’t really care about money; he just wants to elope with the mayor’s daughter Emilia.

The Wild Boys are making plans for the future, but for now they will have to make do with each other – staging hold-ups and keeping one step ahead of traps, trackers, and other outlaws.

The question is: Are they smart enough to stay ahead of Fuller, Fife and Scanlon (each of whom has a very good reason to want the Wild Boys dead)?

Francis the policeman dropped a clanger when he tried to set a trap to kill them when they escaped

That was a close call for Jack and the gang and that tracker was good considering the went down dead mans drop but the look on the cops face when the shack exploded was amusing

That has to be the craziest bank robbery i have ever seen with no money and then what the wife did which was amusing but then fixing the stagecoach wheel so the could rob the money later from the bank which was priceless

That didn't take long for the bank manager to be tortured for who shot his brother but what Prescott did to Ruby was diabolical but the payback for taking the ticket was sweet and the side bet over Mary was amusing

Jack and Dan getting hold up while holding up the stage coach was strange but then both robbers trying to steel the Wentworth diamond was amusing

Emilia trying on the corset was amusing but you just knew Fuller would use what happened to his advantage and Dan letting the girl go was nice

Fuller had Emilia over a barrel with the supposedly dead guy but coming back for his horse was amusing and the way Mary was almost conned out of 50% of the pub was obvious he was behind the theft of the rum

Jessie the female bush ranger putting a knife to Fuller throat was great but it's a shame he got the better of her and they were lucky with the gold robbery but what Fuller did with the fire was evil

What an insult to women comparing them to a block of wood when Ben was teaching the kid how to chop wood and Martin being trigger happy has put the other life in danger from the rope gang but Mary's son, Tommy going missing to make it look like the rope gang made it obvious Ben was involved but him killing Martin to covered his tracks was clever and thank to Jack who got the money back

Jack's face when Dan said he knew were Grace lived was amusing but Fuller hanging her dead body in town was disgusting and it was only a matter of time before Emilia and Mick got together with the amount of times he has saved her

I'm impressed that Jack saved Mick from Mad Dog after all he did to try and steal the gold but offering to sharing the gold with Mad Dog would of been nice if he hadn't of stole the lot while Mick and Jack were fighting which was predictable

It did look like Fuller was responsible for Ruby murder but Jack and Captain Gunpowder arriving too late made them scape goats for Fuller, Dan's true identity was a surprise but Emilia was right to suspect her father was lying

I am gobsmacked i was wrong about Fuller being responsible for all the murders but Emilia's father being responsible was a surprise and i am a little disappointed there wont be a second season
