Delving into the extraordinary world of the Department of Public Prosecutions and its young, eager lawyers, CROWNIES is the new 22 x 1 hour drama produced by SCREENTIME for ABC TV.

CROWNIES follows five young solicitors as they face the pressures and endearing madness of modern single life - in a fast paced workplace that highlights the moral dilemmas and big issues facing an apparently civilized society.

In a world that exists solely to see ‘wrong-doers’ brought to justice, and where the average age of the solicitors is 27, there is a big divide between these young solicitors and the barristers at the top. Yet they are the initial point of contact with the police, and it is they who do most of the liaising with the victims and the witnesses - and recommend what goes to court.

They are committed, idealistic and hard-working, but their lives away from the office are filled with aspirations, explorations, fragile relationships and partying.

The outfit Tatum was wearing when she meet Simon's parents was amusing but how unfortunate for them to see the crime scene photos and the reference to the polo-neck like a jumper with foreskin was priceless, the Bonobo Monkey handshake was an interesting way of flirting and a stroke of luck with the guilty verdict when Tatum found conclusive evidence after the jury went to deliberate,finding out who leaked the document should be interesting

The case of the disabled teenage girl who is allegedly pimped for sex by her father was sad and i thought a mothers instinct to know her daughter was telling the truth especially with the schools drawings but standing up to the judge about no ladies present was amusing

Ben struggling to cope with the unexpected death of his grandfather was predictable but what was he trying to do at the ID parade and another problem with the press over the leaked document, the wedding dress shop discussion was amusing especially asking for her bra while he was on the phone

Ben has probably tainted the evidence already because he must of watched the CCTV footage so he could try and pick him out at the ID parade

Her trying to close the porn page was funny but Tatum having a strop and threatening to kill someone was priceless

The conversation at the cafe about what the doctors used to do for the women before the vibrator was hilarious and who was Tatum's gift going to be used on should be interesting

Tony looked pissed but storming out of the court room was a disaster but the back story to why he was like that was sad, Tatum and Richard being put on the same case was going to be interesting but taking off the fake gloves was a little childish but you had to feel sorry for him after what the tenant did to his place

I had a feeling that Tina the reluctant witness to the murder was hiding the horrific secret about what happened in the store room but it looks like seeing the wife might of done the trick until she was hit by a car after seeing the murder and Tatum's practical joke about the bird was amusing

The phone ringing in Richard briefcase was amusing and Ben trying to get it down so he could open the door was priceless

Dr Amelia hiding her purse under Richard's desk was amusing and what happened when she came to collect it was predictable but now Conrad is confused over Richard’s orientation considering he is supposed to be gay

It looks like Erin is having to face her deepest fears when she visits the murder site but the blood covered keyboard was a surprise and Janet and Ash discovering that they will be having twins was a shock but the foetal disability in one of the twins was bad news

What Richard did to put Tatum's relationship back on track was impressive but Erin getting drunk after a hard case and ends up in bed with Ben was amusing, the natural red head comment was priceless

It's a shame they took Richard off Tina's case but it did look like she was falling for him and as for the child killer on the tape was a great find

Erin catching Lina in the shower with Andy was amusing and the way Richard won his case was impressive but telling his client to bugger off was priceless. Tracey learning a secret that will tear the case apart was interesting but the things the client said to her was hard

David Sinclair going on the radio after loosing the rape case was risky and Tony Gillies having a go at the training officer for the death of the police officer was great but looks like the cop was trying to please his father
