Injustice Premiered on ITV1 on June 06, 2011

James Purefoy stars as William Travers, a criminal barrister who is recovering from a traumatic series of events that have shaken his belief in the legal system.

On the surface, Travers is a picture of success; an accomplished criminal barrister happily living with his wife (played by Dervla Kirwan) in rural Suffolk.

However, Travers is still recovering from events in his past when he is drawn into a case that involves his old friend Martin Newall (Nathaniel Parker), who faces conspiracy and murder charges while at the same time being investigated by a vicious and vengeful detective DS Mark Wenborn (Creed Miles).

The five-part series from acclaimed writer Anthony Horowitz (Collision, Foyle's War) is a story of friendship, conspiracy, betrayal and murder as well as a critical look at the way the legal system operates.

Interesting first episode but with a few to many different stories like why Travers left London and refused to do murder cases and whats the story about the murder on the farm but the cop on the farm who was being a pig to his partner seemed racist to me

How tragic that Lucy's request for curly fries and chocolate milkshake cost her her life and that must of been horrific for Martin to find her but I'm surprised his wife was so forgiving and getting him out on bail was a great result but the kid in the taxi added an interesting twist

Wenborn's wife getting arrested for shop lifting was a surprise and Travers wife tracking down the young writer family was impressive but it's looking more like Travers was responsible for the farmhouse shooting and now we know why he left London for getting a guilty man off and probably why he killed him in the farmhouse

Mark threatening his partner about his wife was uncalled for and then going home and punching his wife was diabolical and the death of Alan after he gave up the name of who supplied the gun was sad

Mark falling down the stairs was poetic justice for hitting his wife and for trying to get a witness to lie about selling a gun to Travers and i thought Martin was innocent but it looks like he has got another guilty man off so taking the law into his own hands was interesting and Travers probably killed the other guy in the farmhouse
