I thought it was a great episode, until the last 10 seconds.  (which didn't work on my tivo so i had to run over here quick. haha).  but yeah.  I have never been a george/izzie fan, but I feel like I am the only one.  I am a strong fan of commitment and sticking together.... George has a wife.  

I did not like Lexi, but she did change my thoughts a little with the George thing.  I think she is the one that we don't want to like, but end up loving.  Kind of how Addison was.  Did we not all hate her in Season 1 (only the last episode) and the beginning of 2, but now we are all sad to see her go!  haha

Oh, and I like Meredith and Derek.  I'm one of the few.  haha

Okay you might be right.  but a lot of people in this thread seemed anti mer and der and pro izzie and george.

Alex - Okay so I have to agree with everyone who says they were mad at Alex.  I was as well.  He just pulled a jerkface move.  But, I was glad that George had the strength to man up and agree, rather than try to cover it up anymore.

Callie- I bet she is going to get pregnant and convince George to stay because of that.  I mean, in episode one, she told George that he could be the "daddy intern."  

Meredith- I also agree that she did a great job teaching Lexie. I mean, what did she have to lose?  There was a body and she needed to learn how to put in the throat thing.  haha  But i guess Lexie is just not used to that type of teaching yet.  It reminds me of when Addison made Izzie take care of the baby when she knew it would die, so she could teach her.

Bailey - I liked that she accepted her position and is willing to help out Callie.  I think this will be good for both of them.  Callie seems to be having problems with the residents listening to her.  I think Bailey will make them all man up and listen to her.

And finally, Richard Gilmore as the new intern.  That was very weird for me.  I think he will  be a good mix on the show though.  He needed something else to do, now that GG is over! haha

That's about all I have to say about this episode, and I am stoked for the Callie - Izzie brawl.  I saw a preview here.  Looks hilarious (Izzie is getting all ready in the cafeteria, jumping back and forth, prepping herself, pulling up her arms to fight.haha)

What did everyone think of episode 4?  I thought it was well done, with a few surprises.

Callie - I really felt bad for her.  In the end, I could really see her pain.  That sucked.  I really hope she can pull it together. BUT I doubt they will kick her off, I think she is on for good and is going to cause some tension.  

George - Not too much about him this week, which is a big change, because he had done so much and been so prevalent in the last few episodes.

Alex - We are starting to see a little bit deeper into his heart.  He may like Eva, but I think he still holds a candle for Izzie.  I was surprised by the anger he showed when she told him, but I liked how he finally explained why he was upset that she slept with George.  And then it was really cute when he brought Izzie kleenex in the end

Meredith and Derek - I am glad to see some of their issues working out, a little.  When he first cancelled on her by the elevator, I thought he had made the plans with Lexie, but then I decided he did not.  He is waiting for her. But how much is he really waiting if he is threatening her with moving on if someone else comes along?  I would just like to see him actually wait patiently and love her and let her come to him.

Izzie cracked me up when she wanted to fight Callie, I thought that was hilarious.  It will be interesting to see if she still has a thing for George, or re-opens her mind to the Alex possibility.

Just my 2 cents, what does everyone else think?

yeah I could not tell what he was really saying by "i want to marry you." Like does he really want to marry her?  Are his feelings for her that strong?  Who knows

i think they were supposed to be serious before.  but now that they broke up they are supposed to be just having breakup sex.  a fling.  oh well

wow, I didn't know she was a singer!  I can see her leaving to do that then.  but something else would have to get in between George and Izzie then (can we say Alex?)  Although, Rebecca is supposed to be back too!

i like both of your reviews and they are pretty similar to what I thought.  My fiance and i just looked at each other right after the chainsaw thing and were shocked.  Then we laughed, haha.  

I also agree that Christina is being overly judgemental.  But I think you got it right, she is still really hurt about the whole Burke thing, but trying to pretend it is not a big deal.  I think she is seeing her little world falling apart.

I think Dr. Hahn is going to be a very interesting character to add to the show, I was never the biggest fan, but she should spice things up.  

I also liked the final scene with Meredith and the Cheif.  And i think it was really good that Lexie took the step and opened up to talk about her Mom, and Meredith listened and was able to have a conversation.  Maybe Meredith will finally have some real family.  

I was upset at the end when Derek said he needed to date.  He told Meredith he would wait.  And now that she is finally getting closure and moving on, he is going to date other people.  so weird.

Yeah seriously, Derek and Sydney would never work out!  I think they will actually work out this time, Mer and Der.  I mean, we've all been rooting for them for 3 seasons!  haha I think the scrub nurse will not be a big issue, but who knows.  Maybe Derek will like her because she is saucy (I was in 36 of your surgeries, and you just noticed me now).  In his defense, there are like 20 people in those ORs and the doctors are focused on the body laying on the table.  Does he really need to notice everyone standing around?

I think Izzy and Geoger are just best friends.  And they really shouldn't try and make it more!  But seriously, i think it was good that he ended it with Callie.  He was not real or true to her.  And he just used her for support when his Dad died. She was the first one to actually be interested in George.  

And Callie, i think she is best as a surgeon. She loves it and is good at it, she was never good at managing charts and people.  Miranda is much better about that.

I could not stand that guy who was just leading her on.  And I was shocked at the way Ms Bossy (aka Hahn) was treating her.  It was really sad to see that guy have the ability to make Miranda melt like that.  But I'm glad she realized it, and was able to have a heart to heart with Derek.  Props to George for calling her out (like she did so often to them!)

I think Meredith and Lexie will begin bonding, and it will be good for both of them.  I think Mer is already having some realizations (which may just change her relationship with Derek, hopefully!)  I wonder if something will happen so that Lexie moves into the house with them!

The white supremacist. He told Christina it was something "kids do when they are younger and regret it". But when Christina asked him if he regretted it, he kind of shrugged and said no.

I missed the first part, so I need to re-watch the first 10 minutes and see the crash and whatever happened with Izzie and Christina before I comment!

I was also shocked that Derek kissed Rose.  I mean, the more I watch this show, the  more I realize just how unprofessional and unrealistic it is.  However, the show being what it is, I still wasn't happy to see them kissing in the scrub room.  And then Derek must have felt like an ass once Mer told him how she felt. I was so proud of her.  But I wanted to beat him up!  that scum!  haha Meredith needs to find someone better who will treat her right!

Ms. Smith I have to agree with you on Bailey.  She puts her job way ahead of her family and everything else.  She did take an oath, that is right, and she is saving lives.  but when is it going to end?  If she keeps going down this course she is going to be lonely like the chief.  And also, did she even discuss the option of being cheif resident with tucker? i do not think so.  And I was a little shocked by what Christina said, but I think you are right ms smith, it needed to be said. And she scapegoated Christina as well and took her away from her career in cardio.

I disagree with what you said about Rose though.  I think she does have more of an individual storyline and we will soon find out about it.  There is more to her than Derek.

I also thought Seth Green was going to be a recurring interest for Lexie, but I guess now.  So sad.  He was different and humorous.  

Also, I thought Joshua Jackson was supposed to appear on this episode.  I love him and would love to see him on tv more often!  Let's see if he comes around in January!

Thanks for starting this discussion up Arielle.

I am bummed because this was the last episode for awhile.  But at least it was a good one.  They definitely did not have as many cliffhangers as I expected.  It was good, but not like oh my gosh I need to see the next episode like now.  I mean, if they really wanted to get people hooked, they should have left Tucker not breathing...

Mer/Der/Rose. So glad Mer and Der finally ended it. But if I was Rose, I wouldn't want him, just because he's not taken now. I don't want to be someone's second choice, which is what she should feel like. And honestly, having her ask about Bailey, now they are justs giving her lines, I have not seen her talk to Bailey once.

and yeah, totally feel for Bailey too. But I am sure it will all work out eventually, not sure how tho.

And George's mom is so cute.  I can't wait to see what she continues to bring to the show.  I almost have a feel ing that she will get George and Callie back together.  But the scene with Izzie and Mrs. O'Malley was priceless!
