Season 4
Episode 1:
The assassination of the Police Minister and a war brewing on the docks throws Tactical Response into the centre of a major new taskforce investigation. How will Lawson and the team react to new boss, Charlie Lewis?
Episode 2:
Shannon keeps a shocking secret from Lawson and the team during an assignment to protect a woman.
Episode 3:
Shannon reels from the consequences of allowing Lexi, the pregnant girlfriend of a hit man, to escape from an operation that would put Tactical Response in touch with those responsible for killing the police minister. Kerry comes down hard on Shannon, putting her TR future at risk. At her superior's insistence, she's forced to attend a counselling session where she must confront a buried pain that could push her away from Lawson forever. When TR finally catch up with Lexi, they convince her to go through with the meeting but a heartbreaking ending leaves Shannon more distraught than ever.
Episode 4:
Conflicting agendas in the team bring simmering tensions to the boil with best mates Lawson and Josh up against new boss Charlie and their superior Kerry. Lawson and Josh stir up trouble in a local restaurant with a provocative assault on some Marauder bikies only to have it come back to bite them when the same bikies become persons of interest in an ongoing case. Lawson and Charlie's lack of communication threatens to ruin their respective investigations unless they can find a way of bringing down the culprits. Meanwhile, Stella helps save a journalist whose investigative reporting has put her life in danger.
Episode 5:
Tactical Response takes charge of Kerry's protection when she receives a death threat. Headstrong, Kerry is dismissive of her own safety but when the threats are redirected to her son, her anger at the perpetrators can't be contained. Despite her attempts to hide her son, they still manage to track him down. Meanwhile, Stella gets personally involved in a murder investigation, risking her job and life to track down the suspect. The two cases converge when it becomes clear that the same man is behind both threats.
Episode 6:
Michael has been a busy man since being fired from Tactical Response. Thanks to the squad's head honcho Kerry he's now undercover, and his job is to bring down the Raineys, a family team of cocaine importers. He sets up a buy-bust meeting in order to bring the Raineys down and coaxes Josh into becoming his wingman. The trade-off location changes at the last minute and whilst TR catches some of those responsible. Col Rainey has taken Michael and gone underground. Has his desire to prove himself to everyone put his life in serious danger? Meanwhile, Shannon finds herself face-to-face with her attacker.
Episode 7:
Tactical Response goes into overdrive as they desperately try and to locate Michael after his undercover buy-bust goes horribly wrong. Josh starts to crumble under the guilt of letting Michael get away while Stella is furious, realising her best friend, and once lover, may not come back alive. It's a race against time as Kerry fights political red tape and the remaining members of Tactical Response do anything they can to get one of their team back safely.
Episode 8:
Senior Constable Michael Sandrelli remains in intensive care whilst Tactical Response are left to pick up the pieces and endeavor to find those responsible. Stella goes on a drinking binge trying to mask her grief. Josh struggles even more with his guilt, punishing himself for not saving Michael in time, and Shannon lets her emotional guard down, even suggesting to Lawson that they get married.
Episode 9:
A tragedy within the ranks of Tactical Response brings Shannon and Lawson, closer together. Stella can barely build up strength to face the day, and Christian appreciates a comforting presence from Amber. Josh, feeling responsible and immense guilt from what has happened, goes underground, deliberately avoiding contact from anyone at TR. Those left are forced to concentrate on the job at hand — bringing down drug and weapon importers, the Rainey family. After sparing their lives, Doug Rainey tips Lawson off to a bomb-making site where TR find even more bad news, Josh's burnt out car.
Episode 10:
Lawson's world is crumbling. Along with having to deal with the death of a team member, he is now faced with the fact Josh is missing, presumed dead. To make matters worse, his grief causes him to make a serious judgment error that could destroy the one good thing left in his life: his relationship with Shannon. The error in judgment comes in the form of Josh's girlfriend, Tash. The team pull out all the stops in their pursuit of the man they believe is responsible for Michael's death and Josh's disappearance. But the closer they get to him, the quicker he slips away from them, leaving Lawson to, literally, cross the line in order to catch him.
Episode 11:
Ridden by the guilt of letting a fellow Tactical Response member die on his watch, Josh has gone underground, working to his own agenda and leaving the task force to pick up the pieces.
Episode 12:
Lawson and Tactical Response are on the trail of the 'Cuckoo', a Russian fugitive planning to unleash terrorist-like chaos across the Melbourne cityscape. However, the team quickly find themselves up against a carefully planned maneuver as the tables are turned and those on trial hold Tactical Response hostage trying to escape from military courtroom. Also, things get a little romantic for Shannon and Lawson.
Episode 13: [Series Finale]
As the bomb squad work to defuse a bomb, the team are tasked to fly to Fiji to extradite a South Korean National back to Australia. Shannon also responds to Lawson's marriage proposal.. sort of.
