Season 1 was very good. I loved Ciaran Hinds (Caesar) and James Purefoy (Mark Anthony) in their roles. Both did an exceptional job especially Purefoy
But, since the series was cancelled before season 2 began due to the exorbitant cost of the show we got a very accelerated season 2, and because of that the end result was crap, especially episodes 9 & 10. However, there are some stand out scenes I liked from 2: when
1.Vorenus & Pullo saved the kids,
2. Brutus bravery before he died
3. Mark Anthony beating Octavian after he disrespected his mother
