I thought it was interesting how he said he would choose the other girl if he had too but didn't in the end, which might have saved her life. It's sad that she killed her mother, the only person who ever loved her and who he ever loved, which would imply he didn't love his daughter, which I think is actually pretty sad too.
I wonder how he will cope though, he looked lost and broken in the end.

It might be what he had coming, but I can't help but feel sorry for the innocent parties who eat of the human when they didn't know it. They are pretty much traumatized for life as well.

yes and yes. And I'm not sure if she's going to come back later or if they are going to leave it like this, but that was some disturbed girl

I also like that we can still see him in the new series.
