Grey's Anatomy Season 5-8 General Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

why would it be unbelievable?
We saw an episode about his family. Avery is right to think the trial wouldn't stand a chance to win the Harper Avery Award if his name stood on it. And the fact that he stepped down because of that is typical for series.

they took the insurance thing into consideration. the fake husband has a job now so he will have his own insurance soon

I hope not. She really needs to get over herself killing a patient cause that's the only reason that she sticks to the rules that hard and sometimes you have to skip them. I think chief resident is going to Avery for backing out of the trial to give it every chance it can get.

is this still because of the trial thing? And I hope the hospital reconsiders, cause Grey's Anatomy without Grey is kind of impossible to think off.

I loved the comment about the things she did that he loved but he also hated. And sleeping on the bed, fully clothed without holding hands was a great ending.
Christina and Owen seem to get along again.
But I don't understand why Owen became Chief of Surgery since Bailey has been in training for it.
Bailey saying to the chief that she needs time to see it his way was nice.

Oh and I loved April in this episode. Especially with the thing about who lost the bet in the end.

I loved Christina in this episode and I wonder how long it is going to take her to forgive her husband for doing this to her. I don't believe I would be able to, but I believe that eventually she will. Still them not believing she would be this upset and then sending her in that second OR was terrible. But she did great!

She and Hunt weren't sound to begin with, but this certainly brought out the worst in Hunt. And now he is going to lose his two closest friends because he can't accept the concequences of his decisions. I agree with Christina that he should just keep his mouth shut and let Teddy do what she wants for now or handle her, but not take it out on Chris and Christina doing whatever Teddy wants is kind of obvious. She doesn't want to lose her mentor and she feels guilty. Hunt should understand and give her a bit more support. Teddy getting fired was right on one hand cause she disobeyed orders, but he should have just put her on leave or something like that. She did just lose her husband and was lied to about it by her boss...

I wonder how this is going to continue

I agree. that looks like we're going to be laughing the whole epi. It's something we haven't seen before and I think it will be fun for this once

I didn't really like the episode. I loved the concept, but somehow I hated the episode.

I can't say. It's just a feeling. There isn't anything specific just in general. I don't know. I just didn't love it.

You forgot one: Izzie shooting up the hospital and George still being 007, but not passing his interns exam.
I found it interesting that some things don't change, like Mer meeting Derek in the bar and her and Christina becoming friends. And in the end Bailey becoming the person she is in the real series.
Which was the concept of the episode. To show some things don't change, even if you make a different decision somewhere along the road. As if it was meant to be. That part I liked.
It's the part inbetween. Akward and unreal. i don't know. Maybe it's just because I love happy endings.
Alex feeling bad for screwing up a good thing wasn't a surprise cause that's just who he is. But Mer and Christina both going for the cardiac fellowship was funny and knowing Mer's life wouldn't have been better if her mom didn't get sick was also a good storyline. But it was strange to hear them call her dpctor Webber.
Lexie being on drugs, coming into the hospital, still as a halfsister of Mer was strange. Cause they had the same father and in the other reality Mer doesn't have that father. But it was nice that they saved her in the end and Mark being the one to bring her in was ironic.

The not passing thing is becoming something that happens every time. First with George having to take his interns twice and now another one failing.

I don't know, it probably wouldn't be, but the series isn't realistic in the first place.
Then they all know know these things from practice so I would think that after all they have been through and with them all being so great at everything (especially Avery, Grey and Christina) I would think that isn't it.

I agree with you and I'm looking forward to next weeks episode. But this episode showed that you can't consider this show realistic

I'm studying to be a doctor, but no I don't think this is realistic. I was commenting to what Bala said about the promo, that in real life not everyone passes and therefore in the series they made someone flunk the exam.
But I mean, a perfect score on 2 parts of a verbal exam after being late for the first part (Alex)? The mom in the next room with those noises (Avery)? The whole thing with Kepner? Then the Grey thing was still a little believable (especially with the fame of her mother) and even Yang since she had always been kind of outside the statistics.

The Kepner thing was over the top, I really think the writers can do a lot better then that. But I'm looking forward to next episode to see how things will go on from here.

Does anyone know if there will be a season after this or is this the final season?

I liked this episode. It's a great set-up for the final.
Wonder if that is the way they are going to write Derek out, since the promo said it's the end for one of them.
Kepner is going of the rails. I kind of feel sorry for Avery. First Lexi and now Kepner.
