All My Children' star Susan Lucci joins 'Devious Maids' pilot
Susan Lucci has joined the cast of ABC drama pilot Devious Maids.
The project - from Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry - will focus on four maids who work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.
All My Children star Lucci will play the wealthy Genevieve Delacourt, according to Deadline.
One of the maid's employers, Genevieve is used to male attention and is struggling to deal with her fading sex appeal.
Lucci played Erica Kane on ABC's All My Children for 41 years between 1970 and 2011. Last year, she criticised the network's decision to axe the soap, blaming a "fatal combination of ignorance and arrogance".
The actress also hinted last year that she was in talks to appear on Cherry's Desperate Housewives, though executive producer Bob Daily later denied the rumours.
Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Dania Ramirez (Heroes), Roselyn Sanchez (Without a Trace) and Judy Reyes (Scrubs) will play the title characters in the Devious Maids pilot.
Edy Ganem, Angelique Cabral and Rebecca Wisocky will also star in the project, which is based on a Mexican format.
