Jesse Bradford to star in Jimmy Fallon's NBC pilot

Jesse Bradford has landed the lead role in an NBC comedy pilot.

The show, which is being produced by comedian Jimmy Fallon and has the working title DILFS, focuses on three immature fathers.

Bradford will play the trio's leader Chris, Deadline reports.

Chris, who is newly divorced, is said to be confident in everything except caring for his 9-month-old son.

Bradford has previously appeared in television shows such as The West Wing and Outlaw, while his movie credits include Romeo + Juliet, Swimfan, Bring It On and Hackers.

The other two fathers in DILFS will be played by The Shield's Anthony Anderson and Friends With Benefits star Zach Cregger.

The Sopranos actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler has also signed up for DILFS and will play Cregger's on-screen wife.

The Tudors' David Alpay joins ABC pilot 'Americana'

David Alpay is the latest star to join the cast of ABC's pilot Americana.

The project focuses on famous fashion designer Robert Soulter and his family, who are shaken up by the arrival of young designer Alice Clarke.

Alpay has now signed up to play Robert's son Jesse in the drama, Deadline says.

Jesse, the oldest son in the family, has recently been promoted and is now the co-president of the family's label.

Alpay has previously appeared in The Tudors and will star in the upcoming second season of The Borgias. He has also had guest roles in shows such as Dollhouse, Fairly Legal and Rizzoli & Isles.

Anthony LaPaglia has already signed up to play Alpay's on-screen father Robert in Americana, while Twilight's Ashley Greene will take on the role of Alice.

The cast also includes stars such as Ken Olin, Natalie Mendoza, Christine Adams, Annabeth Gish and Emilie De Ravin.

Homeland' Brianna Brown added to 'Devious Maids' pilot

Brianna Brown has been added to the cast of ABC's pilot Devious Maids.

The drama, based on a Mexican format and developed by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, focuses on a group of four maids working in Beverly Hills.

Brown has now signed up to play a wealthy woman who employs one of the maids, Deadline says.

Brown recently played Lynne Reid in Homeland but is also known for her role as Lisa Niles in General Hospital. She has had guest appearances in shows such as CSI, Private Practice and Body of Proof.

The four lead roles in Devious Maids will be played by Ana Oritz, Roselyn Sanchez, Judy Reyes and Dania Ramirez.

Edy Ganem, Angelique Cabral and Rebecca Wisocky have also signed up for parts in the pilot.

Only Fools and Horses' US casts 'Bridesmaids' Wendi McLendon-Covey

Wendi McLendon-Covey has been cast in ABC's Only Fools and Horses remake.

The Bridesmaids star will play Ruby, the ex-wife of John Leguizamo's Del. The equivalent role of Raquel in the UK original was played by Tessa Peake-Jones.

After she was released from HBO pilot Viagra Diaries, McLendon-Covey attracted five offers, and ultimately decided to join the cast of Only Fools and Horses, reports Deadline.

The comedy pilot is about two streetwise brothers Del (Leguizamo) and Rodney (Dustin Ybarra), along with their grandfather (Christopher Lloyd), as they devise schemes to make money in the hope of becoming millionaires.

McLendon-Covey starred in last year's summer hit Bridesmaids as the cousin of Maya Rudolph's Lillian.

James Bond' star Colin Salmon joins The CW's 'Arrow' pilot

Colin Salmon has joined the growing cast of The CW's upcoming pilot Arrow.

The British actor will appear alongside lead actor Stephen Amell in the superhero drama based on the Robin Hood-like Green Arrow.

Salmon will play Walter Steele in the series, a former business associate of the late Robert Queen, and the No. 2 at Queen Consolidated in the original comics.

Colin Donnell recently signed up for a role in the pilot, while it will also star David Ramsey, Susanna Thompson and The OC's Willa Holland.

Game of Thrones director David Nutter will helm the pilot episode, which is based on a script by Green Lantern scribes Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim.

Colin Salmon is perhaps best known for his role as Charles Robinson in the Pierce Brosnan era of James Bond films. He has also starred in a number of television series including Doctor Who and Merlin.

Cuba Gooding Jr pilot 'Guilty' adds Jay Harrington

Jay Harrington has joined the cast of Fox pilot Guilty.

The Better Off Ted star will appear opposite Cuba Gooding Jr in the legal drama, according to TVLine.

Guilty will star Gooding Jr as Billy, a morally ambiguous attorney who is stripped of his licence after being framed.

Harrington will play Scott, a former colleague of Billy who lets his old friend use his new practice as a base of operations.

In addition to playing the lead role in ABC comedy Better Off Ted, the actor has also appeared on Private Practice and Desperate Housewives.

Californication's Amurri Martino will further star in Guilty as another lawyer named Lily.

This Means War director McG will helm the pilot, which has been written by FlashForward's Marc Guggenheim. The pair will also executive produce alongside Peter Johnson and Greg Berlanti (Green Lantern).

Other drama pilots picked up by Fox include an untitled serial killer project with Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, a teenage spy script from Prison Break's Karyn Usher and a medical drama starring Dexter's Jordana Spiro.

The Descendants' Amara Miller joins NBC pilot '1600 Penn'

Amara Miller has landed a role in NBC's pilot 1600 Penn.

The comedy, which has been co-written by Barack Obama's former speechwriter Jon Lovett, focuses on the US president and his dysfunctional family.

Miller has now joined the cast as Marigold, one of the president's 13-year-old twins, TV Line says.

Marigold, the youngest of the president's children, is described as tough.

Miller recently starred opposite George Clooney in the Oscar-nominated movie The Descendants.

Bill Pullman has already signed up to play the president in 1600 Penn. Brittany Snow will star as his daughter Becca, while the project's co-writer Josh Gad will appear in the show as his son Skip.

Meanwhile, Andre Holland has joined the cast as the White House press secretary.

The Finder' Mercedes Masohn, 'Tree Hill' star join '666 Park Avenue

Mercedes Masohn and Robert Buckley are the latest stars to join ABC's pilot 666 Park Avenue.

The supernatural drama, based on a series of books by Gabriella Pierce, focuses on a young couple who agree to manage one of the oldest apartment buildings in New York City - only to begin to experience strange events.

Masohn and Buckley have now signed up to play a married couple living in the building, Deadline says.

Masohn will star as a photographer called Louise, while Buckley's character is a playwright called Brian.

The project is in second position for Masohn, which means that she will only join the cast if her current show, Fox's The Finder, is not renewed for another season.

As well as playing Isabel Zambada in The Finder, Masohn has previously appeared in shows such as Chuck, Castle and NCIS.

Meanwhile, Buckley played Clayton in One Tree Hill, which will come to an end after its current season. His other credits include parts in Privileged and Lipstick Jungle.

Rachael Taylor and Dave Annable have already signed up for the lead roles in 666 Park Avenue, while Lost's Terry O'Quinn will play the owner of the haunted building.

Entourage' star Rhys Coiro joins CBS pilot 'Applebaum

Rhys Coiro has joined CBS legal drama Applebaum.

The Entourage actor will appear opposite A Gifted Man co-star Rachelle Lefevre, according to Deadline.

Lefevre will play private investigator Juliet Applebaum in the pilot, which is based on the Mommy Track Mysteries books by Ayelet Waldman.

Coiro has now been cast as her husband Peter, a successful comic book artist. The actor's past credits include episodes of Burn Notice, Hawaii Five-0 and a recurring role in the seventh season of 24.

Both Lefevre and Coiro will be forced to drop out of Applebaum if CBS picks up A Gifted Man for a second season.

Author Waldman co-wrote the project with Jennifer Levin (Brothers & Sisters) and Sherri Cooper (Unforgettable).

The trio will executive produce alongside showrunner Jeff Rake, Michael Barnathan and Harry Potter director Chris Columbus, who will helm the Applebaum pilot.

Party Down' Ken Marino to star opposite Judy Greer in 'American Judy'

Ken Marino has landed a lead role in ABC's pilot American Judy.

The comedy stars Arrested Development's Judy Greer as a woman who struggles to adapt to life in the suburbs after getting married.

Marino has now signed up to play Greer's on-screen husband, Deadline reports.

Elaine Hendrix has already joined the cast as the town sheriff, who is also the ex-wife of Marino's character.

Eric Ash has also landed a part in American Judy and will play a friend of Greer's character.

Marino previously starred as Ron Donald in Party Down and has also appeared in shows such as Dawson's Creek, Veronica Mars and Reaper.

Boardwalk Empire' star William Forsythe joins Fox medical drama

William Forsythe has joined a new medical drama from Fox.

The pilot will star Dexter's Jordana Spiro as Grace Delvin, a surgeon forced to work as a mob doctor to save her debt-ridden brother.

Boardwalk Empire actor Forsythe will play charismatic mob leader Alexander Constantine, Deadline reports.

A powerful and mysterious figure with connections in the criminal underworld, Constantine may also be Grace's long-lost father.

Forsythe's recent television credits include guest roles on The Mentalist and CSI: Miami.

He has also appeared in such films as 1984's Once Upon a Time in America, 1990's Dick Tracy and 1996's The Rock.

Necessary Roughness star Jaime Lee Kirchner was previously cast in the new Fox pilot, from from CSI's Josh Berman and Drop Dead Diva's Rob Wright.

Justified's Michael Dinner will direct and will also executive produce alongside Berman and Wright.

Leonor Varela, Martin Donovan join The CW's 'The Selection' pilot

Leonor Varela and Martin Donovan are the latest stars to sign up for The CW's pilot The Selection.

The drama, based on an upcoming book series by Kiera Cass, is set 300 years in the future.

It focuses on a poor young woman, played by Friday Night Lights star Aimee Teegarden, who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to marry Prince Maxon (Ethan Peck).

Verala and Donovan have now signed up to play Maxon's parents, Queen Amberly and King Clarkson, Deadline says.

Verala has previously had parts in Arrested Development and Human Target, and will appear in TNT's new season of Dallas.

Meanwhile, Donovan has starred in shows such as Weeds, Wonderland, Ghost Whisperer and, more recently, Boss and The Firm.

The Selection will also feature Save The Last Dance star Sean Patrick Thomas as an adviser to the queen.

Mistresses': ABC remake casts Rochelle Aytes, Jes Macallan

Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan have signed up for lead roles in ABC's remake of Mistresses.

The drama, based on a British series which ran from 2008 to 2010, has already received an order for one season from ABC.

Aytes and Macallan have now joined the cast and will play two of the four women at the centre of the show, Deadline reports.

Aytes, who appeared in a previous attempted remake of Mistresses for Lifetime in 2009, will play a widow called April who juggles raising her daughters with running a shop.

Meanwhile, Macallan has landed the role of Josslyn, a real estate broker and "unapologetically sensual" woman.

Macallan has previously had guest roles in shows such as Shameless, Justified and Grey's Anatomy, while Aytes has starred in series like Drive, The Forgotten, Detroit 1-8-7, Desperate Housewives and ABC's short-lived comedy Work It.

Mistresses, which will air on ABC in 2013, is being penned by Gossip Girl writer KJ Steinberg.

Elementary' CBS pilot adds 'Prime Suspect' star Aidan Quinn

Aidan Quinn has joined the cast of CBS detective pilot Elementary.

The drama will focus on a contemporary Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller), who is residing in Brooklyn after coming out of rehab.

Quinn will play Captain Gregson, a New York cop who worked with Sherlock at Scotland Yard following the 9/11 attacks, according to Deadline.

Gregson invites Sherlock to assist the NYPD, but is wary of the detective's eccentric behaviour.

Quinn most recently starred in axed NBC drama Prime Suspect, a remake of the UK series. His film roles include 2010's Jonah Hex and last year's Unknown opposite Liam Neeson.

Lucy Liu was recently cast in Elementary as Sherlock's partner Joan Watson, while Michael Cuesta (Homeland) will direct.

Medium's Rob Doherty has written the pilot, which is under consideration for the 2012-13 television season.

Emily Rutherfurd joins Ben Falcone CBS pilot

Emily Rutherfurd has signed up for a role in a CBS pilot.

The comedy stars Ben Falcone as David, a single man who is forced to move back in with his parents after losing everything in the real estate crash.

Rutherfurd will play a waitress who happens to be David's old high school crush, Deadline says.

The actress previously starred in The New Adventures of Old Christine and has also appeared in series such as The Ellen Show, Will & Grace and Up All Night.

She will be joined in the CBS pilot by Judd Hirsch, who has signed up to play David's father. Rachael Harris has also landed a role in the comedy and will star as David's sister.

The pilot is being executive produced by Falcone and his wife, Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy.

Terra Nova' star Allison Miller joins Matthew Perry comedy 'Go On

Terra Nova star Allison Miller has joined the cast of NBC comedy Go On.

Miller - who played Skye in Fox's recently-axed sci-fi drama - will appear opposite Matthew Perry in the pilot, according to Deadline.

Go On will focus on Ryan (Perry), a charming sportscaster who suffers a personal loss and is ordered to attend mandatory therapy sessions.

Miller will play Ryan's quirky assistant. The actress will be billed as a guest star in the pilot, since she has not yet been released from her Terra Nova contract.

20th Century Fox TV is currently shopping Terra Nova to other broadcasters, including Netflix. If the series is not picked up, Miller will be free to join Go On as a series regular.

The actress has previously appeared in episodes of CSI: NY, Boston Legal and Private Practice.

Go On - written by Friends scribe Scott Silveri - will also star Julie White (Transformers) and Suzy Nakamura (Men of a Certain Age).

Hawaii Five-0' star Lauren German joins 'Chicago Fire' pilot

Lauren German has joined the cast of NBC drama Chicago Fire.

The pilot - from Law & Order creator Dick Wolf - will star House actor Jesse Spencer as newly-single firefighter Matthew Casey.

Hawaii Five-0's German will play Shay, a dry and humourless official to whom the Fire Department reports, according to Deadline.

Her recent TV credits include Jason Lee TNT drama Memphis Beat and axed Fox action thriller Human Target.

Eamonn Walker (Oz), Monica Raymund (Lie To Me), Taylor Kinney (The Vampire Diaries) and David Eigenberg (Sex and the City) will also star in Chicago Fire.

Derek Haas and Michael Brandt have written the pilot, which will be helmed by Homeland director Jeffrey Nachmanoff.

Other drama pilots picked up by NBC include Midnight Sun starring Julia Stiles, a remake of UK series Bad Girls and Jekyll and Hyde update Do No Harm.

Neal McDonough joins Frank Darabont TNT pilot 'LA Noir'

Neal McDonough has landed a role in TNT's pilot LA Noir.

The drama is being written and directed by Frank Darabont, who worked on The Walking Dead until he left the show last July.

It is based on a novel of the same time and focuses on the long-running battle between the LAPD and a group of organised criminals, led by former boxer Mickey Cohen.

McDonough has now signed up to play Police Chief William Parker in the drama, TV Line reports.

McDonough, who is currently playing Robert Quarles in Justified, has previously starred in shows such as Desperate Housewives, Boomtown and Band of Brothers.

Heroes actor Milo Ventimiglia has already signed up to play a former marine who becomes a fixer for the mob in LA Noir, while Jeremy Strong will star as Mickey's second-in-command.

The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal has also been linked to the project.
