Will & Grace' creators, 'Brothers & Sisters' exec for new CBS pilots
CBS has ordered three more comedy pilots for the 2012-13 television season.
Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick have sold new sitcom Partners to the network, according to TVLine.
The potential series will focus on two life-long male friends who begin to grow apart when one decides to propose to his girlfriend.
A version of the Partners pilot, starring Jay Mohr and Brian Austin Green, was filmed in 2007 for CBS. A second attempt, with Alan Tudyk and Ty Burrell, was also made for ABC in 2008.
Brothers & Sisters executive producer Greg Berlanti and How I Met Your Mother's Greg Malins are also developing an untitled romantic comedy.
The project will revolve around a man who suffers a health scare, leading him to realise that his best friend is the true love of his life.
The third pilot, from Ajay Sahgal and Raising Hope's Alan Kirschenbaum, is entitled Friend Me and will follow two men who relocate to Los Angeles to work for the deal-finding website Groupon.
CBS recently picked up a string of pilots, including Black Widow - a cop drama from CSI's Carol Mendelsohn - and comedy Super Fun Night, starring Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson.
Crime series Quean, an untitled drama from Goodfellas writer Nicholas Pileggi, and an adaptation of the the Mommy Track Mysteries book series are also in the works.
