TV CASTINGS: Ron Livingston Joins 'Game Change', Kelli Giddish Boards 'Good Wife

EXCLUSIVE: A decade after his standout performance in HBO's miniseries Band of Brothers, Ron Livingston is back at the pay cable network with a co-starring role in the film Game Change, produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman's Playtone. The movie, directed by Jay Roach, follows John McCain's (Ed Harris) 2008 presidential campaign, from his selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (Julianne Moore) as his running mate to their ultimate defeat in the general election. Livingston, repped by UTA and Thruline, will play Mark Wallace, a senior adviser to McCain-Palin 2008. He led the debate-preparation team for Gov. Palin, who ended up exceeding expectations in her face-off with Joe Biden.

Kelli Giddish, star of NBC/Jerry Bruckheimer's freshman action drama Chase, is changing the pace with an arc on CBS' praised legal drama The Good Wife. Giddish will appear in the last two episodes of the season playing what is described as a provocative role -- an investigator for Lockhart Gardner who used to work with Kalinda (Archie Panjabi). There is a possibility for Giddish, repped by Paradigm and Invictus, to return in the fall, though The Good Wifeis yet to be officially renewed, so the show's producers have not started working on storylines for Season 3.

Olivia Munn & Alison Pill In Negotiations For Aaron Sorkin's HBO Pilot, Marisa Tomei Closes In On Female Lead

The female portion of the cast of Aaron Sorkin's HBO pilot is taking shape. Olivia Munn and Alison Pill are in negotiations for supporting roles in the project, while I hear Marisa Tomei is inching closer to committing to play the female lead. Tentatively titled More As This Story Develops, the project centers on cable news anchor Will McCallister (Jeff Daniels), who has his own show, as well as the show's female executive producer and staff. Tomei, repped by CAA and Untitled, is poised to play the executive producer, MacKenzie, for whom producing the news is what she does best and everything else is tied for last place. Pill will play Maggie, an associate producer on the assignment desk. Munn, repped by CAA and Mosaic, will play a sexy financial analyst on the same cable network as McCallister.

Oscar winner Tomei has been one of several actresses considered for MacKenzie and the most heavily pursued by the producers. Said to be a big fan of Sorkin's, she met with him earlier last week and again on Saturday when he attended her off-Broadway play Marie and Bruce. (Among the other contenders for the role, Emily Mortimer had emerged as a frontrunner.) Munn, who stars on NBC's midseason comedy Perfect Couples, was courted for several broadcast pilots this pilot season but opted not do any. She continues to be a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Showand co-stars in the upcoming Miramax movie I Don't Know How She Does It. Tony nominee Pill, repped by WME and Joannie Burstein, already has experience as a regular on an HBO series -- she co-starred on the second season of In Treatment. She recently co-starred in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Fox's Jamie Foxx/Affion Crockett Sketch Comedy Series Gets Title, Premiere Date

Fox has scheduled In the Flow with Affion Crockett, the half-hour sketch-comedy series hosted by and starring comedian Affion Crockett and executive produced by Jamie Foxx. The series, previously Untitled Jamie Foxx/Affion Crockett Project, will have a one-hour premiere on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 9 PM before moving to its regular Sunday 9:30 PM time slot the following week. In the Flow will also air reruns at midnight on Saturdays beginning Aug. 20. Fox originally picked up the project to series in early September with a 12-episode midseason order. In January, Fox announced that the sketch comedy was getting a preview after American Idol on March 31 and a premiere on June 9. Both the preview and the June launch date were subsequently scrapped while the show's order was cut from 12 to 6 episodes. Described as being in the vein of In Living Color, In the Flow is a take on pop culture with spoofs of movie trailers, commercials, TV shows, music videos and celebrities. It features guest appearances by rapper/actor Snoop Dogg, Russell Simmons, singer Chris Brown, sports analyst Michael Strahan, actor Harry Shum Jr. (Glee), choreographer Lil’ C, actor/comedian JB Smoove, actor David Koechner (The Office) and dance crew X-Mob. The series is produced by Fox TV Studios, Foxx/King Entertainment and Tantamount Studios. Foxx, Todd Yasui, Marcus King, Jaime Rucker King, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Mitch Hurwitz are executive producing, with Carl Jones co-executive producing. Crockett serves as a writer and producer.

Blue Mountain State' renewed by Spike

Spike TV has renewed its sports comedy series Blue Mountain State for a third season.

According to Deadline, the network has ordered a new run of 13 episodes which will air later this year.

The series saw positive gains across all male demographics during its recently concluded second season, leading to Spike's decision to renew the original scripted comedy.

The show's second season saw Page Kennedy and Mary Jo Cacciatore join the series as regulars following the departure of previous stars Sam Jones III and Gabrielle Dennis.

The second outing of Blue Mountain State also saw the arrival of former Bond girl Denise Richards as a supporting character. It has been confirmed that the actress will reprise her role as Debra for the upcoming third season.

Blue Mountain State stars Darin Brooks, Chris Romano and Alan Ritchson as three freshmen who join a fictional college football team.

Last season, USA Network’s flagship series Royal Pains introduced Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein) and Evan R. Lawson’s (Paulo Costanzo) dad Eddie Lawson, played by Henry Winkler. Now the upcoming third season will go down another generation, with veteran Ed Asner tapped for a 2-episode arc as Ted Roth, Hank and Evan’s grandfather and Eddie’s dad. Asner, repped by Greene & Assoc. & manager Perry Zimel, recently starred on CMT's first sitcom Working Class. He is now touring the country with his one-man show FDR and will next be seen in the HBO movie Too Big to Fail.

Meagan Good has joined Showtime's dark comedy Californication for a major recurring role. Good, who will appear in 9 of the 12 episodes of Californication's upcoming fifth season, will play Kali, an extremely hot up-and-coming hip-hop artist. Good, who recently did an arc on BET's The Game, has 3 movies coming out in the next month: Jumping the Broom, Video Girl, which she also produced, and Ticking. She is with Gersh and Untitled

I feel sorry for Hawaii Five-O because since Two & A Half Men stopped its rating have been going downhill, I swear Hawaii Five-O needs to be on Tueday at 10 next season after both NCIS & NCIS Los Angeles
